Double Trouble- Re-written.

Turning Point

~ This chapter continues from the last chapter. The end was going to be it's own chapter, but I added it to this one because I think it fit the story better that way.

~ Most of this chapter was written before the last chapter was posted.

Hydie teleported to her room. She tossed her things onto her bed and was about to get a change of clothes but stopped. There was something in the back of her mind that worried about Chase and the others. 'They can handle themselves...' Hydie thought to herself but the part that was worrying about them, she couldn't ignore. She sighed and walked out of her room.

Hydie sat at her computers and after a few minutes was able to pull up security camera footage from downtown Amber Beach. It took her a few more minutes to find the area where the rangers were fighting. She stared at the screen when she saw the rangers were fighting Snide. 'What's he doing fighting the rangers?' Hydie thought to herself and saw the rangers having a tough time fighting him.

Hydie got up and pulled the compact from her pocket. She didn't open, but held it in her hand as she watched what she could of the fight. It was easy to see Snide and the Vivix that were with him were beating the rangers. 'They can make him retreat' Hydie thought to herself, a part of her unsure why she was so worried for the rangers. She stood and watched the rangers handle the Vivix but had a hard time with Snide.

Hydie didn't realize she was holding her compact tighter as the rangers struggled.

The rangers got knocked back by a blast from Snide. They de-morphed and groaned as they tried to get up.
"It's no use getting up rangers." Snide said with a chuckle as he pointed his sword towards them. "You will finally be defeated and your energems will be mine." Snide took a step towards the rangers but stopped when Hydie teleported between the rangers and Snide.
"Leave them alone." Hydie said to Snide.
"Hydie?" Chase asked in surprise when she appeared in front of everyone.
"Make me." Snide challenged Hydie even though he was just as surprised to see Hydie.

Hydie stood in front of Chase as she faced Snide. She kept her eyes on Snide as Chase looked up at Hydie from behind her.
"Snide's too powerful." Chase said because he knocked down the rangers. "We have to get somewhere safe." Chase added about himself and the other rangers as he slowly stood up behind Hydie.
"Yeah, I know." Hydie said about Snide being powerful. She kept her eyes on Snide and ignored Chase saying they needed to get away. She narrowed her eyes and knew that no matter what she was about to do, she would hurt someone she cared about. Hydie took a deep breath and didn't notice her tattoo glowing, but Chase noticed from behind her. "He may be powerful..." Hydie began to say as she took a step closer to Snide. The glow from her tattoo enveloped her as she transformed into Scorn in front of Chase and the other rangers.
"....but so are we." Scorn said as she finished Hydie's words.
"So, you've chosen to side with the rangers...." Snide said as he pointed his sword towards Scorn "....I'm disappointed in you sister. " Scorn pointed her own sword towards Snide.
"Go where you can be safe." Scorn said to Chase. "We will find you later." Scorn added before she ran towards Snide to attack him.

Scorn's sword met Snide's as she blocked his attack. She growled at Snide and managed to push him back.
"Why are you siding with those humans?" Snide asked Scorn. "When you came to earth you were willing to steal their energems and we were going to rule this planet together. "
"Yeah, well ruling the planet was never my goal." Their swords hit each other again, but Snide pushed Scorn back from him. Scorn didn't say anything about her and Hydie already having the purple energem. "My goal is far more important. " Scorn dodged an attack from Snide. "Which you would know if you weren't in solitary for centuries."
"You left us there!!" Snide swung his sword in anger at his sister. "All I had for company was Heckyl..." Snide and Scorn continued to swing their swords at each other "...you don't know how annoying he can be."
"I thought the same thing about Hydie once." Scorn said as she continued to fight Snide "We work together now....maybe you Heckyl should try it sometimes. But we both know you're not a team player." Snide growled and pushed his sister away from him.
