~ I feel like this chapter took a bit longer than I wanted it to, but it's finally finished!
~ I did have a lot of this chapter planned out in my head, but as I wrote it, some of those scenes changed. There is one that did stay in the chapter and I'm proud of how it (and the chapter as a whole) turned out.

After a few weeks Hydie returned to earth. She landed her ship in a different spot from where she had it before. She looked out the window, a part of her worried. Hydie didn't tell anyone that she was leaving or where she went. 'Chase will be upset. Heckyl will probably be mad.' She thought to herself before she got up from her chair. 'Being away...is something I needed to do.' Hyde thought before she walked out of the room.

Hydie stood outside the Amber Beach Museum. She listened to all the messages Chase left on her phone before she left her ship. He was worried about her, but Hydie could easily explain why she didn't call him back.

One of Hydie's hand went to the necklace she got while she was on her vacation. It was a locket that held her energem and kept it hidden from everyone but allowed her to keep it close. She told herself she wouldn't morph in front of the rangers or anyone that could tell Heckyl she had an energem. Hydie felt better about having her energem close after her and Scorn's fight with Fury before she left. 'Just in case I need an extra boost' Hydie thought to herself before she started to walk into the museum.

Hydie walked a few steps into the cafe, but stopped and stood near the entrance. She saw Chase at the counter and he was talking to his friends. 'Maybe...he doesn't want to see me?' Hydie thought to herself after she left without saying anything. A part of her hoped that he was mad and didn't want to talk, but another part genuinely missed Chase and wanted to talk to him.
"Look who's back." Heckyl said quietly as got closer to his sister. "Where'd you go?"
"I'd tell you, but then I'd have to destroy you." Hydie said in a whisper and tried to seem her more evil self to Heckyl. Heckyl smirked.
"There's my sister." He said before he walked away from her. Hydie watched him walk away and held back rolling her eyes.

Hydie looked back at the counter where the others were and saw Riley point her out to Chase. She gave Chase a small wave before he put down what he was doing and walked towards her.
"Hey...where did you go?" Chase said and seemed more worried than mad about Hydie's disappearance over the last few weeks. "I was worried."
"You...were?" Hydie asked and Chase nodded. "Sorry, I went on an unplanned trip in space and my phone only has a signal on earth."
"Space?" Chase asked.
"Yeah, remember I said I'm from a different planet?" Hydie asked. It took a moment for Chase to remember.
"Oh yeah..." Chase said when he remembered. "Why didn't you say anything before you left?"
"I guess I'm still getting used to having people that care about me like that." Hydie said, partly being honest with Chase. "Let me make it up to you..." Hydie noticed the curious look on Chase's face "...a date, this weekend. This time inside..." She got closer to Chase "...one where Fury hopefully won't interrupt." Hydie whispered. Their last two dates were out in the open and Fury interrupted both. 'Maybe if we are inside, Fury won't see us together' Hydie thought to herself.
"Yeah...I can text you when I'm free." Chase said. "...just promise you won't leave the planet without saying anything this time?"
"I promise." Hydie said and gave Chase a kiss on the cheek before he went back to work.

Hydie looked around the cafe from where she stood. She saw Shelby as she sat at a table with a bunch of books.
"Hey..." Hydie said as she sat across from Shelby. "...how is everything?"
"You're back." Shelby said, a part of her surprised to see Hydie again. Hydie gave a nod.
"Business textbooks?" Hydie asked when she got a glance at the books Shelby had in front of her.
"Yeah." Shelby said with a sigh. "My dad has me taking business classes so I can take over the family business." She added before she grabbed a book. "I have a make-up test in two days..."
