Double Trouble- Re-written.

The Hidden Zord

~ This chapter was written before the last one was posted and I'm really proud on how this turned out. 
~ It is the current longest chapter of the story :) It includes events that were inspired by the episodes 'World famous (in New Zealand)' and the episode 'Deep Down Under'.

A few days passed since Scorn's fight with Snide. Hydie spent that time searching for where her zord could be and was led to New Zealand. She didn't tell Chase or the others where she was since she didn't leave the planet. She promised Chase she wouldn't leave the planet without telling him so she didn't tell him she went to a different country. Hydie didn't talk to Chase since he found out she was Scorn, but didn't plan on breaking her promise to him. There was a part of her that needed distance to think about everything that has been happening. 'The Rangers know about Scorn and know I have the purple energem. They know I'm Heckyl's sister...and Chase....' Hydie stopped and looked out at the ocean that was in front of her. 'Chase still thinks I'm a good person' She laid her hands on the railing that was between her and the beach in front of her. 'The energem reaches the good...but I know there's still evil in me.' Hydie thought as her hands held the railing more while she looked out in the distance.

Hydie had only been in New Zealand for a day and didn't have a lead to where her zord would be. 'Maybe my search was wrong' Hydie thought but felt like she was looking in the right area. 'All the research led me to New Zealand....but this place is huge.' Hydie let out a deep breath but had no intent on giving up on her search for the zord. She felt a pulse and looked down at her locket. It was like the energem was trying to tell her she needed to keep looking. 'I'll find the zord...' Hydie thought and stepped back from the railing. 'I can do this...' She thought and turned around.

Hydie saw some food trucks and decided to grab a bite to eat before she continued her search.

After Hydie finished her food, she decided to continue the search for the zord. She stayed along a path that went along the beach. Hydie felt a pull towards the water, almost like something wanted her to be searching near water. 'Maybe I should be closer...' Hydie thought about the water and stopped to look at the ocean. She closed her eyes and tried to see where the pull was trying to lead her. 'A cave...maybe...' Hydie thought to herself.
"Hydie?" She heard her name being called, which brought her out of her thoughts. Hydie turned around to see Chase with his friends. "What are you doing here?" He asked as they walked over to Hydie.
"I could ask you guys the same." Hydie said.
"There was an article in the newspaper with a photo of a UFO..." Riley started to say.
"It was one of your brother's ships..." Ivan added. Hydie didn't hide her surprise.
"But why...." Hydie stopped as she thought out loud"...he's going after my zord."
"You're looking for your zord?" Tyler asked Hydie, who gave a reluctant nod.
"The last time I saw my brother, I told him that 'Shar' was siding with you and was going to search for her zord." Hydie revealed as she looked at them. "I was hoping I could follow his search and it would lead me to the zord...." Hydie looked towards the ocean. "I need to find it before he does...." Hydie thought out loud, forgetting for a moment the rangers could hear her.

Chase looked at his friends and took a step towards Hydie.
"Let us help." Chase offered. Hydie turned towards Chase. She looked at everyone.
"You....are willing to help me?" Hydie asked and tried to hide her surprise. "After finding out who I am?" Chase looked at his friends. They looked at each other before Tyler took a step closer.
"You Heckyl's sister..." Koda started to say "....but still power ranger." Hydie looked at Koda.
"You're our friend." Tyler said, which made Hydie surprised. 'They see me as their friend....even after everything?' She asked herself. "And power rangers stick together." Tyler added. Hydie looked at everyone, unsure if she should accept their help. They each gave Hydie a nod as she looked at them. Hydie looked at Chase and noticed the pleading look in his eyes. Hydie let out a deep breath.
"Okay." Hydie eventually said. "But if my brother...or any of his generals are here, we have to be careful." They all nodded in agreement.
