Epilogue

Just outside the Schnee compound was a pair of young women, exiting out the front gate. Each one carrying a makeshift grave emarker made from two planks of wood. They walked around the compound to a small medow hidden from view by the buildings. The medow itself was filled with daisies and clovers. The two of them walked out to the middle of the medow and stabbed the sharp end of the grave marker into the ground. Blake placed the one in a patch of daisies, while Weiss was struggling to stab the one she was carrying into the ground. Tears rolled down her face as she struggled. Blake tried comforting her the best she could, but she ended up in tears as well. "Its not fair...they...they died saving so many, but we still lost..." Weiss choked out through the tears. After they got far away from the base, Ruby got a call from her father; telling her and Yang to get home where it was safe. He told us that a majority of the drones that were brought with Atlas troops went haywire and turned on the people that were defending the main city when the fighting broke out. They had no one to trust other than each other. The CCTS was disabled and now contact with the other kingdoms was cut off. The world as they knew it was crumbling. The future was unclear and darkness was inevitable. However even in the blackest darkness, even the smallest light makes a difference..
