The Next Day
Niko's POV
I sluggishly undid my blindfold and was blinded by a bright light. After my eyes adjusted to the light, I began to get up when I heard the most annoying sound. A whistle, "It had to be a whistle." I thought to myself. "Yeah those are the worst." Said a voice in my head. Yeah I'm a bit on the insane side of things. "Morning Pierce." I thought. He said to me." Get up N. Your initiation is today." I sat up and grabbed my toothbrush from my bag. I walked to the locker room to get ready for the day. As I began to brush my teeth, I was approached by the guy I met the other day, Kai I think his name was. He looked excited yet tired, like he was trying his hardest to stay awake. He said." Oh, hey Nick. How you doing." Kai yawned,"Man I wish I knew of a was to wake me up besides coffee. I chuckled." I know a way." This caught his attention and he signaled for me to continue. "Hold out your arm." I told Kai. Obeying my order, he held his arm towards me, forearm upwards.
I pulled a electric dust crystal from my sweatpants' pocket and pressed it against Kai's arm. His hair stood on end as the electricity passed through him. He jumped away from me in shock and pain. "Ow! Why did you do that? Wait why didn't it shock you." I told him." It did shock me, but I have nerve damage. I can't feel pain." Kai's eyes opened wide. "That is.........AWESOME ! I mean sad for you but awesome too." Kai exclaimed.
After we got dressed, the intercom told all first year students to gather our weapons and report to Emerald Forest Cliff. I ran off to the weapon lockers with Kai right next to me. "So you really can't feel any pain?" Kai asked. "Yes Kai, I can't feel pain." I sighed. He punched me in the small of my back quite hard, but all I felt was the impact of his blow. Kai held his hand in pain, stomping his foot. "You didn't feel that did you?" Kai asked in pain. "Oh no. I felt it, it just didn't hurt." Kai and I arrived at the weapon lockers, searching for our assigned lockers. I looked through the lines of lockers," Ah, here you are." Locker number 115, I opened the door and retrieved Jackal, leaving my collapsible baton behind. Before I closed the locker, looking around to make sure the coast was clear, I grabbed an injection gun, the vial filled with a black tar looking liquid. Rolling up my sleeve to my forearm and placing the end of the injector to my arm, I squeezed the trigger and the liquid flowed into my bloodstream. My muscles became less tense and my heart rate went back to normal. "That takes care of that." I said. I ran off to meet up at the cliff.
Third person POV
What Niko didn't know, was that the coast wasn't clear. Someone had seen him, and knew who he really was. Blake hid around the corner where Niko was and her thoughts were going faster than before. "Why is he here. I thought Niko still worked for the White Fang. He tried to kill me when I left, but he was loyal to Adam, who told him to stand down. I have to talk to him." Blake thought, panicking.
