Percy's POV.

Finally, after waiting and waiting, it was finally Wednesday. The day I can take Annabeth out on a date. I guess we were going a little too fast, but that's why we go on dates. To get to know each other better.

But first I'd had to get through school first. I dread school so much. But like every teenager, we were forced to go.

Now all I could about while eating my breakfast was the date. I started smiling out of no where. My mom who was sitting across from me gave me a look.

"Why are you so happy today?" She asked. I shrugged my shoulders.

"Can't I just be happy for once?" I asked her. She gave me a little smirk.

"I don't know. You're never happy on a school morning." She said.

"I just am. Look I have to get going. Oh and I won't be coming home until 6." I said while I headed out the door.

"Ok bye honey. Have a nice day at school." She said. I nodded and walked out the door. I hopped on my motorcycle and drove off to school. I parked somewhere in the front. Just as I hopped off Piper came up to me.

"Hey Percy."

"Oh hey Piper what's up?" I asked.

"The gang are going to hang out at my place after school. Are you in?" She asked.

"Actually I can't go. I'll be doing stuff after school." I told her. She pursed her lips.

"Oh well that's too bad. I guess I'll tell the others the news." She said and walked off.

Mean while I went to look for Annabeth. And as i predicted she was by her locker.

"Hey Annabeth." I greeted her. She turned her attention towards me and smiled. She was wearing a blue top and a red skirt with white flats. And she also had a white leather jacket to go with it. Her hair was down and curly as it has always been.

"Hey Percy. How do you do?"

"How do I do what?" I asked confused like always. She laughed her beautiful laugh of hers.

"It means how are you." She explained. I nodded in understanding.

"So in that case I"m good." I answered. She smiled once again and cuffed my cheeks and pulled me in into a kiss. I only wish it was longer.

"Aren't we suppose to be secret?" I asked. She smirked.

"Yeah but no body was watching." She answered. I pecked her cheek.

"Let's go to class." I told her. She tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear.

"I was actually planning to skip class. Not like the teachers do anything about it anyway. She said.

"Annabeth...you need to go to class so you won't get detention. " I told her. She crossed her arms and shook her head. I gave her a pleading look and when that didn't work I pulled out the big guns.

"Fine, I guess I won't be able to go on a date with you after school. " I said. Her face turned red

"Fine, fine. I'm going. She stomped her way over to Mr. Brunner's class. Well I did my part.

Soon I followed her into the class. There was no seat next to Annabeth so I took one in the back next to the kids who never say anything.

This is going to be a very long day.

Lunch

"Any reason why you can't come to hang over at Piper's house?" Nico asked.

"I told you already. I just have to take care of stuff after school. Just don't worry." I told him.

"What kinda of stuff?" Jason asked. I rolled my eyes.

"Just stuff." I answered. I stood up. "You guys are going to question me all the time then I should leave."

"Wait Percy stay. We were just curious." Silena said. I sighed and sat back down.

"Ok you guys deserve to know the truth." I said.

"Do you know what Annabeth said to me this morning?" Thalia asked.

"What did she say?" Jason asked.

"She said that our group of friends were nobodies and that we don't belong here in this school." Thalia answered.

"But isn't she like new to this school?" Silena asked.

"I know. Someone needs to teach her a lesson." Piper said.

"Before I was interrupted I was going to say that I was going on a date after school today." I announced. Everyone's face was full of surprise.

"Sorry to break it to you, but you don't seem like the one to go on a date." Nico said? The rest murmurmed in an agreement.

"I agree and who is the girl?" Jason asked.

"Annabeth, but you can't tell anyone." I said. Their face were full of anger.

"With her? No offense Percy but you could do better. Just saying." Piper said.

"Yeah Percy she is no good." Silena said. My face was red full of anger.

"Well you don't know her like I do and she might not have the best attitude but she is special to me." I said and walked away. I walked over to Annabeth's table. I pulled her arm and walked out of the lunch room.

"Woah, Percy where are you taking me?" She asked. I dragged her out until we were at her locker. I pinned her back toward the lockers.

"Annabeth why would you say that about my friends?" I asked her.

"What do you mean?" She asked.

"You said that they were nobodies." I said. She bit her lip and raised her eyebrow.

"I didn't say that, Percy." She told me.

"Why would they lie?" I asked.

"Why would I lie?" She asked.

"Annabeth, don't lie to me. Just tell me the truth. I won't be mad if you do."

"I didn't and why would you believe them over me?" She asked.

"Because I knew them longer than you. I trust them more. I'm sorry but I can't be in a relationship with you. And you can forget about that date."

She didn't say anything for a while. I saw at the brim of her eyes that tears were threatening to come out. But she was strong enough not to let it out.

"Ok Percy if that's how you feel then I'll stay away. But I can't promise you that I'll stay away when we go to the beach on Friday." And with that she left. I think I made the right choice.

I mean it's not like that there was a connection. Right?
