Annabeth POV.

It's been five long months since I've found out that I was pregnant. It's been hard with all the whispers in the hallway. I know they're talking about me and I try to ignore them. It's not necessarily working out, but I'm trying my best. As long as I have Percy by my side, then I'll manage.

So here I am on April 1st thinking of a good prank. I used to have a lot of pranks, but I can't seem to get my skills back. And who should I do my prank on? Everybody would probably get mad or annoyed with any prank I pull on them.

I decided to give up and catch up on some reading. I haven't done that since...well ever. It's only a matter a time before the baby comes and he or she is going to have to look up to me. But I don't want to have a bad influence on the baby.

Percy and I decided to wait until the baby comes until we find out the gender. I like to be surprised. He wasn't very fund of that idea, but I'm the one carrying the baby so he let me choose.

"Annabeth!" Sally called from downstairs. I made my way half way down the stairs.

"What?" I asked.

"I just got a call from your mom." She said. I didn't say anything and waited for her to continue. "She said she wanted to talk to you face to face."

"When?" I licked my lips nervously and scratched my arm. I did not want to talk to that women anytime soon, but I know I probably would regret it if I didn't.

"Now. She said she was on her way here." Sally informed me. I nodded and looked down at my outfit.

"Yeah, okay, let me fix myself." I said and headed up to my room. I changed into something presentable and at least decent.

I heard a faint knock on the door. I opened my door and Percy came bursting in.

"You don't have to talk to her if you don't want to, Annabeth." Percy said seriously. I nodded.

"I don't want to, I have to. She's my my mom." I said.

"A not very good one." He muttered. I glared at him.

" I can't keep blaming everything on her, Percy." I said. He nodded and pulled me into a hug. I buried my head into his chest as he stroked my hair.

"But if you want me to fight her I won't hesitate." Percy mumbled into my head. I laughed.

"Yeah, I'll never allow you to do that." I giggled. He smiled and kissed my on the cheek.

"I love your laugh." He said. I smiled cheekily at him and gave him another hug.

"Annabeth! Your mom is here." Mrs. Jackson yelled. I took in a deep breath. I needed to relax. This was only my mom.

"Good luck, baby." Percy said.

"Yeah, I'll need it." I said and headed down the stairs to meet my mom.

And there she was looking beautiful as ever. She cut her hair and she was a little bit skinnier. She was wearing makeup which she never wore.

"Um, hey." I said.

"Really Annabeth? Out of all the things you could say to me that's all?" She asked. I gave her a disgusted look.

"Excuse me, but what as I suppose to say and you came here. You need to tell me what you want." I snapped. She sighed.

"Let's talk outside." She and walked outside not waiting for my response. I followed her and we sat on the bench.

"What do you want?" I asked.

"Well before we get into that, how is the baby?" She asked.

"Just fine."

"Okay, good. Well I wanted to tell you that we're not staying." My mom said.

"What do you mean we're not staying?" I asked. She sighed.

"We're moving to California. You are to come with us, Annabeth." She said.

"No no no no no no no no no no no no no no no n-."

"Annabeth! It's final. You can't change anything about it. Now go pack your stuff." She commanded. I didn't really know what came over me, but I did it. I slapped my mom. This is what the world has done to me. This the world I live in. Where children slaps their mother.

"What is wrong with you?!" I asked. She looked shocked at my outburst.

"Annabeth..."

"I can't and I won't leave. You can count on that. You were fine without me all this time. Why now? You can try and take away from my family, but you won't succeed, mother." I spat.

She angrily stood up and walked out on me again.

"You can forget about your real family because we'll never accept you back!" She yelled and drove off in car.

I sank down to my knees and fell on the floor.

What have I done?
