(Friday) Annabeth's Pov.

Let me tell you this now. Things have been awkward with Percy and I lately. After the whole chaos that happened on Wednesday we haven't spoken in a while. Well that's about to change because it's Friday and we're going to the beach.

I got out of bed and got dressed. I wore my blue bikini under my red shirt and my short jeans.

I grabbed my book bag and headed out the door without any breakfast. I waited at the bus stop and when the bus finally came i hopped on into one of the back seats.

When we arrived at school, everybody who was in my homeroom quickly scurried. I guess they were really excited about going to the beach.

"Ok so let me take attendants then you can group up with your partners." Me. Brunner announced. After role call everybody scattered around and headed off to their partners.

Meanwhile Peecy stayed put at his seat. If he's not coming to me, I'm not coming to him. Two can play that game.

Mr. Brunner eyed Percy and I wearily. He motioned for me to come to him. I slowly walked over to him.

"I see that there is a problem between you and Percy. May I ask why?" He asked. I shifted uncomfortably.

"Well some chaos was taken place on Wednesday and we're not on good terms." I explained to him. He nodded understandable.

"Ah well if it makes you feel better, you don't have to be partners with him. I can make an exception for you." He said. I smiled widely.

"Thank you so much. You made things less awkward." I said.

"On one condition." He said. My face dropped immediately.

"Oh boy."

"You'll have to behave all next week." He said. I frowned. I sighed and slumped my shoulders.

"I guess it's fair." I said. He nodded and dismissed me. As I made my way back to my seat, this kid put his foot out trying to trip me. I rolled my eyes and went around his foot. Amateur.

Thalia who was sitting behind me tapped my shoulder. I turned around and glared at her.

"What do you want?" I asked. She smirked and crossed her arms.

"Just wondering if you went on that date with Percy or not." She said. I growled at her.

"Percy told you?" I asked. She smiled and leaned back on her chair.

"He definitely did." She said. I glared at her.

"You told him a nasty lie and now he hates me for it. You're gonna pay." I told her. She just laughed and shook her head which made me even more angry than before. I stood up to walk over to Percy, but she stopped me.

"And why would he believe you over me?" She asked. I reliezed that she was right. Why would he believe me. I mean I already made so many enemies here at the school. I sat back down in my chair feeling defeated.

"That's what I thought." She said. I crossed my arms and slumped in my chair.

At the beach

The students raced over to the shore excited and overwhelmed. I guess they never went on many field trips.

Meanwhile, I just laid down my blanket in the shade and relaxed. I watched some kids built a sandcastle. It looked pretty good to me. I saw Percy and his friends in the ocean splashing each other and having fun.

Katie soon came up to me with her hair all wet.

"Hey why aren't you having some fun. I mean that's why we're at the beach." She said. I smiled while she sat down next to me.

"I know. I do want to have fun, but..." I trailed off and shrugged my shoulders.

"But what?" She asked. I bit my lip nervously.

"But I don't really know what to do here. I mean anything that involves socializing isn't my thing." I said. She frowned.

"Come on. You are not going to spend this time at the beach doing nothing." She said while she pulled me up. She led me over to Hazel and Clarisse.

"Hey Annabeth." Hazel greeted me.

"Hey princess." Clarisse said. She had been calling me that lately. At first it was annoying, but now I actually liked being called a princess.

"Come on guys let's go to the ocean." Katie said. She dragged over to the shore. I stopped quickly.

"Wait what if I drown? I can't swim. Someone better save me. I'm serious." I told them.

"Don't worry we won't go deep." Hazel said. I nodded and gripped on Clarisse's arm. If anybody could save me it would be Clarisse. She tried to let go of me, but I wouldn't let her.

"Goodness Annabeth..." She mumbled.

We swam around and splashed each other. I can't remember the last time I had some real fun. But with these three girls I would never forget.
