Chapter 34

Percy's POV.

"Are we there yet?" Annabeth asked for the 10th time. I love her but she's needs to know when to shut her mouth at times. It's what gets her in trouble everyday.

"Ask one more time or I'll rip your head off!" Silena shouted from the back. Annabeth turned around and gave her the finger.

"What did I say about talking to me during the trip?" Annabeth asked. Silena rolled her eyes and mumbled something under her breath. I looked at Annabeth and gave her a took telling her to cool down a little bit.

"How did you parents agree on letting you all go off to California which is all the way on the other side of the country?" Nico asked us.

"Well our son is missing, so why not? I mean doesn't that give us enough reasons?" I said. I looked at the mirror and saw the expression on his face. He looked very shocked and worried.

"You mean you didn't tell them?!"

"Calm down, Nico. We left a note." Annabeth said. Nico didn't change the expression on his face at all.

"How about you three? Please tell me you informed your parents." Nico pleaded. They all nodded and I guessed that relaxed a bit.

"At least somebody knows." Nico said accusingly towards Annabeth and I.

"Hey! They're not my parents!" Annabeth said defending herself. Nico shook his head and went back to staring at the window. Now as I think of it, I think I made a good choice to drive there instead of going on a air plane. Ugh! I hate those things. It's like they don't like me.

I glance over and looked at Annabeth. She was playing with her fingers again. She did that when she was nervous. I can't blame her. She has every right to be.

As for me, well I'm scared to find out if maybe Athena might have our baby. I mean we don't know for sure if it was her. When I first met her, she wasn't that bad. She actually was very overprotective and caring. I guess do people change.

"Percy." Annabeth said softly. I tilted my head over to show her I was listening.

"What?"

"What do you think happen to that guy? Luke?" She asked. Wow, I forgot about him. That was a long time ago. We used to be good friends, but things has changed. I guess he just disappeared one day. Annabeth used to hang out with him, but occasionally.

"I don't know. Why do you ask?" She shrugged her shoulders and slumped down into the seat.

"Just wondering." She said. She didn't look me in the eye and stared at the window. Okay now I was curious. Where did this Luke thing come from. I took a quick glance at her and I guess I shouldn't worry. Annabeth is loyal to the people who love her.

"Are we there yet?" Annabeth asked again, but it was quiet and tiring.

"That's it!" Silena yelled and reached over to grab Annabeth hair. Annabeth quickly turned around and gave Silena a good smack in the face. Thalia and Piper tried to pull Silena back, but there was no stopping her. The bad thing about this was that Annabeth and Silena are very stubborn, so I did not know how this was to end up.

Nico was curled up into a ball and protected his face. Smart kid.

I swirled the car to the right by accident because they bumped into me.

"KNOCK IT OFF!" I yelled. No one seemed to hear me though.

Just then the car went left and-

Silence.

That's all I heard. I was pretty sure I was alive, but barely.

Maybe this is how I will die. I guess I'll just have to wait for someone to save me.
