"Are you ready?" Hazel asked. I nodded even though I wasn't even close to ready. I had decided that I needed to be more mature and grow up, so I'm going to meet with my family.

We currently were at Hazel's house. I was trying to look older than usual. I wanted to show them that I have changed. I didn't know how well this is going to work out, but I'm willing to try.

"What do I say to them?" I asked. She sighed.

"Whatever comes into your mind." She said. I raised my eyebrow at her.

"If I did that, then we would have a problem." I said. She smiled at me.

"Okay, then be polite at least." She said. I nodded. We hopped into Hazel's car and drove off to my house. I stepped out the car feeling all nervous.

"Bye." I said to her. She nodded.

"Good luck, hope everything turns out well." She said and drove off. I walked up to the front steps and took a deep breath. I knocked 3 times until someone opened up. It was Joanna. As soon as her eyes laid on me she start to squeal very loudly.

I covered her mouth quickly.

"Hey Joanna, just be quiet for a moment. Could you go get mom?" I asked. She nodded quickly and ran to go get mom. I put my hands in my pocket as I stood awkwardly in front of the door.

Then mom came in. Her eyes widened. Her face was filled with all kinds of emotions. Sad, worry, relief...

"Hi." I said. She ran up to hug me. It took me awhile until I hugged her back. We stayed like that until somebody cleared their throat interrupting your moment.

"What are you doing here?" My dad asked happily. It was still awkward to be around him.

"Just wanted to stop by." I said with a half smile. My mom's face dropped.

"You're not here to stay?" She asked. I bit my lip.

"I would, but I fear that drama could take place again." I said.

"You can't leave me!" Joanna yelled from across the room. I walked up to her and gave her a hug.

"But I won't. I will always be right there with you." I said. She started to cry.

"It isn't the same without you." She said. I shook my head.

"I'm sorry, maybe one day." I said. I began to make my way to the door.

"Annabeth, we can work something out. And you're gonna miss our wedding!" My mom shouted.

"Everything is best off without me." I said. She shook her head.

"That's what you think, but it's not. Stay for the week at least. You can go if you don't like it here. I jsut want you to be happy." She said. I sighed.

"Okay ,fine I will." I said. She smiled and hugged me. I pulled away and looked around the place. Nothing has changed in these past few weeks.

"Room?" I asked.

"Still in the same place." She said. I nodded and ran straight to the front door of my room. I took a deep breath and opened it. There was a banner above my bed that read WELCOME BACK. I guess they knew that I would come crawling back. Well they were right.

"The family missed you." A voice a said behind me. I turned around and the voice belonged to Matthew.

"Well I know that not all missed me." I said with a fake smile on my face. He looked gulity and sorry.

"Annabeth...I did it for a reason you know. I care about you and I can't stand seeing you get hurt." He said. I sighed.

"Well thank for trying to protect me even though it didn't get you any where." I said with a small laugh. He too smiled. I reached in for a hug and he embraced me.

"Welcome home." He whispered. It used to always be like this when we were young. Then we started to get in a lot of arguments which mom and dad took his side. At that time I then decided that I was done with this nonsense.

"I'm glad to be home." I said. After 5 minutes he was long gone. Then my next visitor showed up which was Joanna

"Hey." She said. I smiled and pulled her right next to me.

"How's it going?" I asked. She leaned her head on my lap.

"If you could have one miracle, what would it be!" She asked. I thought for a minute and decided on my answer.

"For a special someone to return to their home safely. " I said.

"Who?" She asked.

"Percy." I whispered.

"I'd wish for all of us to be a happy family again." She said. I sighed.

"Me too."
