The new girl

Chapter 6

Annabeth's POV.

Finally it's Saturday. I had to get through Sunday through Friday to let it be Saturday. School is just stressing enough, so Saturday gives me a break.

"Annabeth!" Amanda yelled. Well almost a break.

"What?!" I asked. She didn't answer so I just came inside her room. She crossed her arms and glared at me.

"You stold my blue shirt. Ashley told me you did." She said. I rolled my eyes and walked out the door. Every single one of them are drama queens.

I walked downstairs and into the kitchen. Only Malcolm was there.

"Hey." I said. He waved and greeted me back. We just sat there in silence. A very awkward silence. I never really talked to anybody in this house.

My phone buzzed and I looked down at the text message. It was from Luke.

Party at my house at 6- Luke

I'm not sure I can make it. Ashley has a soccer game and the whole family is going. Maybe I can sneek out of the house. I checked the time and it was 4:53. I'll need somebody to cover for me. Maybe Matthew can do it. I mean we're twins. We have to have each others back.

I'll be there- Annabeth

I stood up and walked over to Matthew's room. He opened up and looked at me curiously. I can't blame him. We haven't talk in such a long time.

"Hey you know how your my favorite brother?" I asked.

"What do you want?" He asked.

"Well since you asked...I need you to cover for me." I said. He raised his eyebrow.

"What?" He asked. I crossed my arms.

"You heard me. I need you to cover for me. I want to go to a party, but I can't if we have to go to Ashley's game. Listen, I know you don't really know me that well, but we're still siblings and we stick up for each other. So are you with me or not?" I said.

"Not. Sorry Annabeth, but this is a family event and we should all be there." He said and shut his door. I just wanna kicked down his door and make him pay.

I'd get in trouble if I go, but what else do I have to loose. I ran into my room and went straight to my closet. I wore a blue shirt with a white leather jacket and black shorts with my white flats.

I put clothes under my cover to make it look like I was there laying in bed. I grabbed my phone and purse and headed out the window. I climbed down and made it to the ground.

Are you sure you can come-Luke I immediately typed back.

I'm on my way now-Annabeth

I ran down the street to Luke's house. People were partying and having fun. I walked inside and Luke came up to me.

"Hey, you made it." He said. I smiled.

"Well I did say that I was coming." I replied. He smiled. I looked around and saw Percy and his friends there. Why would Luke invite them? I walked around trying to find anybody I do know. Clarisse was drinking something at the drink table. I walked up to say hello.

"Hey Clarisse. Great party, right?" I said. She shrugged her shoulders.

"I guess it's all right." She said. I nodded. Suddenly she started to smirk.

"What?" I asked.

"Hey, follow me." She said. She walked out the back door of the house. I started to follow her out back. Behind Luke's is an alley way.

"What are we doing here?" I asked. She pulled something out of her pocket. My eyes widen.

"Do you smoke?" She asked. I shook my head viciously.

"I don't." I said. She shook her head.

"You haven't live once you smoke." She said.

"Nah, you won't live long enough if you smoke." I said. She shrugged her shoulders.

"I always knew you would back out of a challenge. Oh well more for me." She said. I glared at her and took one.

"Light it up." I said. She smirked and light up my cigarette. I was about to put it in my mouth when a voice stopped me.

"If you dare put that thing in your mouth you will regret it forever." I turned around to see my mom. I'm in so much trouble.
