Crash part 3

The forest had finally gone quiet.

Glowing leaves swayed lazily above them, scattering soft light across the clearing. The air hummed faintly, calm in a way that almost felt illegal after everything they had just survived.

Ice was slumped at the base of a massive tree, head tilted slightly to the side, arms loose, posture utterly unguarded. His breathing was slow and steady, completely out, as if the battle had been nothing more than an inconvenience.

Halilintar stood a few steps away, arms crossed tightly over his chest, eyes fixed on him.

"…Unbelievable" he muttered.

Blaze, sprawled dramatically across a fallen log like a corpse in an overly tragic play, let out a scoff.

"You say that" Blaze said, waving a hand lazily.

"But you are the one who dragged him under the tree and made sure he wasn't face planting straight into the dirt"

"I moved him because he was in the way" Halilintar snapped without looking.

"And this spot has better cover" The oldest added, causing Blaze to raise an eyebrow, then he snicker.

"Sureeeee" Blaze grinned, stretching the word out.

"That's totally the reason, not because you care~" Halilintar pointedly ignored him.

"Awwww is tsundere big bro getting sh-"

"Finish that sentence" Halilintar said coldly.

"And I will personally relocate you to the other side of this forest"

Blaze immediately shut his mouth, turning his face away as a snort escaped him, shoulders shaking with barely contained laughter.

A soft thump sounded beside them.

Taufan dropped from a low branch, landing lightly beside the tree like he hadn't just fallen from several meters up.

"Ooo" he said cheerfully, glancing between Halilintar and the sleeping Ice.

"Is this the part where big bro pretends he's not soft?"

"Watch your tone" Halilintar replied, not even looking at him. Taufan's grin widened.

"I am watching~ Very carefully~"

Blaze snorted.

Ice shifted slightly in his sleep, mumbling something incoherent, none of them could tell what it was, probably nonsense, or food.

Taufan leaned closer.

"What did he say earlier?" He ask, looking at his sleeping brother.

"Don't wake him" Halilintar said instantly, causing both Blaze and Taufan to smile as they slowly turned to look at him.

"…Wow" Blaze whispered.

"That was instinctive"

"I said don't wake him, he's tired after all that misfortune" Halilintar snapped.

"Sure, whatever you say big bro" Taufan nodded enthusiastically, then his attention shift to Ice who rolled slightly, bumping his head against the tree.

Before Taufan could make a move toward his sleeping brother, Halilintar already stepped forward, adjusting his position so Ice wouldn't hit the bark again. He stopped when he realized both of them were staring.

"What?" Halilintar raises a brow as Blaze wiped an imaginary tear.

"Nothing, just witnessing character development" Blaze sniffle dramatically, wiping another imaginary tears while Taufan clasped his hands together.
