Taufan loved writing, he always had ever since he was just an ordinary boy, no more than ten years old.
He loved the way ink poured onto paper, how his imagination flowed through each sentence, how everything came together in the end.
He loved how stories could last forever if they were preserved well, unlike people, Unlike moments that faded too quickly.
Taufan enjoyed every step of the process, spending hours perfecting his plot, feeling the satisfaction of finishing it, and experiencing every emotion that surfaced as he scribbled down word after word.
And today...
He was going to write about his family, his brothers, his home.
At least this way, he could hold onto them forever.
At least this way, he could appreciate them more.
Taufan grabbed his pen and opened his newly bought book, the clean, unstained pages demand to be written on, and so, Taufan did.
He smiled as he uncapped his pen and began.
My Home
That was the title, the first word on the page, his smile widened and a chuckle escaping his lips as his hand guided the pen, letting it dance across the paper.
Halilintar, my beloved tsundere oldest brother.
He wrote with a fond smile, it was the truth, after all.
Their tsundere brother who pretended not to care but in reality, secretly kissed his forehead every night while he slept.
Taufan still remembered the first time he caught him, a restless night had kept him awake, and when he turned over, he saw Halilintar quietly pulling his blanket up, making sure he wasn't cold. Then, a soft kiss on his forehead.
He had shut his eyes quickly, his heart pounding, he never spoke of it, never teased Halilintar about it.
Because for some reason… it felt like something precious, something he wasn't meant to acknowledge aloud.
His pen moved again.
My protector, the one who would do anything for us.
The memory flashed like lightning behind his eyes.
The battlefield, the chaos, the moment Halilintar had thrown himself in front of them, shielding them from an attack too powerful for any of them to stop.
Taufan remembered the sheer terror of watching his brother collapse, his body unmoving, his breathing shallow.
Still... Lifeless.
For a moment, Taufan thought… that was it.
That he had lost him.
His hands gripped the pen a little tighter.
He shook his head.
He was fine, Halilintar was fine.
But that moment had burned itself into his soul, leaving a scar he wasn't sure would ever fully fade.
His hand trembled slightly as he wrote the next words.
The one who secretly worries about us.
Taufan let out a small laugh, a soft, almost nostalgic sound.
He thought of all the times Halilintar scolded him, not out of anger, but out of worry.
The time he had climbed too high on a tree and almost fallen.
The time he had run headfirst into danger without thinking.
