I was concerned about leaving Piper and Hazel to go to English all alone since they were the only ones who wouldn't be at our monster discussion but apparently I had no reason to be because they were sending Frank, Will, and Grover in there with them.

I was still worried anyway.

We all sat down on the bleachers in the gym with Coach Hedge. I sat next to Nico and Leo with Thalia behind me, playing with my hair. Percy sat with Annabeth and Jason right in front of us and Reyna sat behind Nico.

The coach was standing in front of everyone.

"I want to hear theories!" He shouted.

"Hypothesis'..." Annabeth muttered. "A theory is something that's been tested."

Percy flicked her arm. "Nobody cares, Wise Girl."

Annabeth glared at him.

"I thought he could be one of the venti." Jason offered, shrugging.

"That's a possibility."

"Why does it matter?" I asked without thinking. Suddenly everyone turned to me. "I mean," I tried to explain myself. "We won't know what type of monster he is for sure until he attacks us...so why are we wasting our time with it? We should be figuring out our weaknesses, making sure we know how each other fights-and also that we know how to fight." I glanced at Leo, speaking of the two of us who had never been trained. "We should be preparing for battle. Not trying to figure something out that we can't know for sure."

"That makes sense," Thalia said from behind me. "I agree."

Annabeth thought for a moment and everyone looked at her. Apparently since she was the daughter of Athena that automatically made her the smartest one here. I was still debating that. She had to prove herself, the fact that her mom was super smart didn't mean she was.

"You're right, Sarah. You and Leo need to learn how to fight. We should be focusing on that."

Everyone nodded, taking her word as law.

Nico's phone buzzed and he glanced down at it.

Coach Hedge growled. "Idiots, bringing cell phones. It's enough that there are five-possibly six-children if the big three here, but you've gotta have cell phones? You're basically demigod beacons! Come on over! Free meals!"

Jason glared at him and he shut up.

"Will says: So far, so good." Nico announced looking up.

"I told them to text me..." Jason said eyeing Nico suspiciously. "Why is he texting you?"

Nico shrugged but he looked down again to hide his blush. I leaned over.

"So I'm assuming the date went well?" I whispered. He just nodded and I smiled.

"Can I braid it?" Thalia asked behind me, referring to my hair.

"Nico!" Percy said and Nico's head shot back up.

"Y-yes?"

"Do you think you can train Sarah to control all of your creepy underworld powers?" Percy asked. (A/N: I'm writing this part on Percy's birthday so happy birthday Percy! Also RIP to all the good heroes that were lost in battle)

"I can train her." Nico said. "In swordplay as well."

Percy nodded. "I'm going to help, as well as train Leo along with you guys."
