The warehouse is filled with BRADs, lined up in rows and columns, each one as lifeless as the one before, "So, where do we start?" Hecate asks. The trio has been dawdling around while trying to figure out exactly what to do.

Brooklynn shrugs and walks towards the nearest BRAD as Yaz helps Hecate sit down on the floor. At this point, all they can do is wait for Brooklynn to do her thing.

"You're pale," Yaz comments as she takes a seat next to her. Her eyes fall down to the bloody bandages on Hecate's leg, "and you're still bleeding. You should've stayed behind, or gone back with Mae."

"And leave you alone? No offense, Yaz, but none of you can handle any dinosaurs you run into. Ben might've defeated Toro but he had Bumpy. Y'all couldn't even take on a velociraptor," she scoffs, her frustration and pain making her words come out more harsh than she intended.

Yasmina frowns and avoids her eyes, "Not all of us are you, Hecate. We can try, but we'll never be able to do what you can," she huffs and shifts away from Hecate slightly, "I can't even hear a dinosaur roar without having a panic attack. How can you expect me to try and stop one?"

Hecate opens her mouth to reply but closes it right after. Her eyes bore holes in the floor, eyebrows furrowed as she tries to think of a reply, "Your frustrations are understandable, Hecate," Brooklynn speaks up. Her eyes never leave the BRAD she's working on, "You've been the backbone of this group ever since we left Nublar. After you were missing and before. You've barely rested, you're always hurt from protecting us, and you're dealing with whatever that Scorpius Rex did to you."

Hecate leans her head against the wall behind her with a soft thud, "You give me too much credit, Brooklynn, but thank you."

"She's right," Yaz says, looking back at her, "I'm sorry. We should've helped, or at least tried to instead of depending on you for everything."

"It's okay, you're all trying your best," she replies, eyes closing.

"You should go back to Mae's place and switch out with one of the boys," Brooklynn says while looking over at them, "It's obvious you're exhausted. And I know you don't like feeling useless, but you will be if you don't rest."

Hecate's eyes widen slightly, "How'd you know that?"

"Know what? That you hate feeling useless?" Brooklynn laughs, "You're not as good at hiding your emotions as you think you are," she focuses on the robot once more, ignoring the glare Yasmina sends her way, "Go to Mae. She'll need someone to take care of her anyway."

Hecate nods, holding a hand out to Yaz, "Help me up?" The track star just lets out a hum as she stands and pulls Hecate up, trying not to hurt her leg any further, "thank you."

"Should I go with you?" Yaz asks, not letting go of Hecate's hand despite her standing.

"I'll be fine. Brooklynn might need help and it's not good for one of us to be alone."

"You'll be alone."

"That's different," Hecate replies. Yaz frowns. It's not difficult though.

"Just let her go, Yaz, she knows what she's doing," Brooklynn says after a moment, looking up briefly before returning to her work, "She'll be fine."

Yasmina frowns but doesn't disagree again, "Fine. Send one of the boys back to make sure you get there okay."

"Alright, I will," Hecate says before kissing Yaz's cheek. Then she glances at Brooklynn, "You got this, Brooklynn," Brooklynn stops what she's doing and looks up, "You were great in that one video and you'll do well this time, too. I believe in you, okay?"

Brooklynn just stares for a moment before she swallows hard and looks down, "Yeah, thank you." The mission depends on her to bring a BRAD to their side. She's felt pressured and Hecate's words reassured her slightly.

"I'll see you both later then," Hecate says before she's gone and the room falls silent.

...

Hecate walks, well, waddles, as fast as she can without further injuring her leg. She's tired and wants nothing more than to lean against a tree and fall asleep. But she can't do that, not until she gets to Mae's place where's it's safe enough to do so.

She's close by, only a few more minutes of walking. A branch cracking behind her makes her freeze. A familiar green light falls across her as she turns around and a cluster of electricity strikes her before she can move.

She grabs her left arm where she's hit and cries out in pain. Her stomach twists as the volts make it through her body. Hecate turns and tries to run, tries to do something except stand there and take another hit.

She forces her legs to move, her injury screaming at her with every step but still, she continues. She can bear the BRAD following close behind, occasionally shooting another electrical pulse that ultimately missed. The door to Mae's house cave is in sight and Hecate feels relief flood her body. There's not mic she cant do besides get inside and pray the door closes before the BRAD can get in too.

The moment she goes to open the door pain explodes behind her eyes. The robot sent another ball of electricity that slams into her head. Hecate convulses as her eyes roll back and she slumps against the door.

A moment passes..and then another. The robot flashes a light over her but it never turn red like it should. It stays green as it sweeps across the ground as the BRAD begins walking away, leaving Hecate there.

And this time... she doesnt get back up.
