Yasmina, Brooklynn, and Sammy all start towards where Big and Little Eatie are resting while Kenji and Darius head to the place Kash and Mae met up like Hecate suggested, much to Darius’ annoyance. The three girls climb to the platform Mae had used before with the boys to observe, the day they noticed that the dinosaurs’ food had been tampered with. They watch as three drones and a BRAD approach.

Big Eatie snarls as the BRAD steps forward, enveloping Little Eatie in the same green light used many times before, “Health readings suboptimal, unsuitable for test.” The drones zap yellow shockwaves towards both dinosaurs, forcing them to separate far enough for the BRAd to scan Big Eatie as well. It scans her, speaking a few seconds later, “Subject suitable for test.”

The words make them frown, “What test?” Brooklynn asks nobody in particular and nobody answers, neither of her companions knowing the answers.

“I don't know, but I doubt it's anything good,” Yaz says, flinching as the drones begin shocking Big Eatie, forcing her to walk a specific way.

“Subject suitable for test,” The BRAD says again, repeating the process as the T-rex keeps walking. The trio climb down and Sammy and Brooklynn lift a large rock, slamming it against the BRAD's head, “Subject sui–” Another hit to its head makes it go quiet as it falls to the ground. The drones continue zapping her, making Big Eatie walk slowly.

“Where do you think they’re taking her?” Yaz asks and Brooklynn shrugs.

“I'm not sure, but we should follow them,” She replies and Sammy nods in agreement. The girls follow Big Eatie for a while, eventually the drones stop at a large clearing with a large building on the far side. Yaz can spot Kenji, Ben, and Darius on the other side, Hecate must've sent Ben to help.

Mae whimpers as Ben slowly tries to pull one of the leaves off, her eyes opening in confusion, “Okay, Mae, let’s get you cleaned up,” Ben says, pulling without warning. He's met with a fist to the face, causing him to fall back. He leans up a moment later holding his nose.

“Ben. you hurt me,” mae says, her voice sounding pained as she speaks.

“You hurt me,” he replies, frowning.

“Sorry, maybe its better if we stick to the leaves,” Mae says tiredly.

“We don't want you getting an infection, Mae,” Hectae says from her spot.

“Oh, Hecate, you're here,” Mae's eyes drop to her poorly bandaged leg, “What happened?”

“Same thing that happened to you,” She answers and Mae nods, “Anyway, as I was saying, infections in a wound that large can form in as quickly as a day, so unless you want the pain you’re feeling now to become much much worse, I would let Ben do what he needs to.”

Mae sighs, “Yeah, you're right, I try my best not to hit you again, Ben.” Hecate pushes herself up, and hobbles over, taking a seat next to Mae before offering her hand.

“Here, squeeze if it hurts,” She says and Mae takes her hand with a small ‘Thank you’.A few minutes of muffled, pained groans from Mae and a few winces from Hecate,Ben is able to correctly bandage Mae's stomach.

“Okay, that's a bit better,” Mae sighs, glancing at the two pills in Ben's hand.

“Pain meds, they were in the first aid kit,” he explains and she nods before taking them. Hecate shuffles back to her spot, Ben following with the rest of the bandages, “Here, I should fix your leg.”

Hecate shakes her head, “I’ll do it,” she says, “You go ahead and find the others, they might need your help,” She pauses before continuing, “If Yasmina seems to need it, send her back here, okay?”

Ben sighs but nods anyway, “Fine, but I hope you know babying her like this won’t change anything.”

“yeah, I know,” Hecate replies with a simple laugh, “Can you blame me though? If it was your loved one fighting out there while you were stuck here, wouldn't you want them to be safe, too?”

“I guess I get it,” he says before standing, leaving the first aid kit next to her before walking away to find the others. Hecate just sighs, gritting her teeth as she begins unwrapping her thigh, occasionally glancing at Mae to make sure she's okay.

“Hecate, when y'all were talking earlier, I heard some of the things said,” Mae starts, making Hecate stop and look up, “I know of the Indominus Rex, I'm sure there aren't many people who don't know now, but, a Scorpius Rex was mentioned.”

Hecate nods, understanding her question, “Henry Wu, who designed the Indominus, also created another hybrid he told nobody about. E750, or the Scorpius Rex,” she explains, “Think poisonous porcupine dinosaur hybrid with a pug-like face, then make it a hundred times creepier.”

“My god,” Mae whispers, “It sounds terrifying. And you seven had to deal with it?”

Hecate nods, “Like the rest of the dinosaurs from Jurassic World, it was able to reproduce. By the time we realized, there were already three of them. One was struck by lightning, I killed one, and the other was crushed by the old Jurassic Park building. Sammy almost died.” She says, not mentioning the fact that she did actually die, which everyone except Yaz, seems to ignore. Though it's hard to ignore it when she's puking blood every so often. The sensation is engraved in Hecate's mind at this point.

The group makes their way over to each other, the six of them finally back together, just without Hectae. Just like on Isla Nublar. Yaz frowns at the thought as Darius begins explaining what they found.

“We found Kash in this creepy warehouse full of BRADs,” Darius says, "I almost had the phone, but then…” He sighs, obviously annoyed, “He went back into the compound.”

“The drones forced Big Eatie away from her daughter,” Brooklynn says next, “they shocked her until she left. It was hard to watch.”

Darius scoffs, “Hasn't he hurt them enough?” The question is left unanswered as a dinosaur bellows in the distance, making the youngest gasp, “That's Pierce!”

Big Eatie's roar follows and Yaz flinches, unable to stop a whimper from leaving her. The group looks at her, each stare filled with worry, “No, you need to go back,” Ben says, remembering what Hecate told him, “Go back and rest.”

“But–”

“Just go, we'll be fine, we'll stop Kash from hurting Pierce too,” Kenji insists, motioning for her to leave.

“Okay,” Yaz finally replies, sounding tired and defeated. She turns and begins walking back, leaving their line of sight after a few minutes. Once she's gone, the rest of the group turns back to their main task, stopping Kash from whatever sick plan he has next.

Yaz walks which quickly turns into a run, wanting to get away from the dinosaurs' cries as fast as she can. Every roar sends a chill of fresh fear down her spine and after a moment her legs can't take much more. She leans against a tree, legs barely holding her up as she gasps for air. Yaz feels herself start to sweat, heart pounding as she tries to breathe. She covers her mouth with her hand, fearful that any possible creatures nearby could hear her.

She can barely register the hands grabbing her face, barely register Hecate's face in front of her. Yasmina must've been closer to where Mae and Hecate stay than she originally thought. A few minutes later of Hecate desperate voice trying to calm her down, Yaz's heart finally starts to slow to a normal pace and she's able to breathe normally.

"Fuck, Yaz," Hecate says when she sees that her eyes have actually focused on her, "Are you okay?" Yaz doesn't answer, not sure if she'll be able to stop herself from crying if she does, "Okay, that's alright, you don't have to answer right now." Hecate just wraps an arm around her, leading her to where Mae still lays.
