And when the soft glow of the fading sun warms up the last of its hours, gently kissing goodnight at where it meets the horizon, I want to be the one who will wrap my arms around you under the billions of blankets above us, holding you tight against my chest, planting a small, shy kiss on your temple as I whisper "goodnight."
Beads of sweat trickled down the side of his neck as he ran and ran and ran to the carelessly scribbled address Taehyung had given him, bringing nothing but himself as soon as he got the earliest ticket to Tokyo.
At this point, it didn't really matter to him anymore if it was stupid to follow her all the way, the few cash that he saved from a year of working two jobs was enough to buy him a 2-way ticket anyway.
Although to the eyes of others, he was, of course, a fool to be chasing after her but he's never felt the pain that he felt when his heart ached, seeing her with someone else.
He's never felt the butterflies in his stomach when he got the chance to see her.
Or the adoration he felt for her when she talked about the things she loves.
Or how his heart skipped a beat when his lips finally met hers with her fingers rushing through his short strands that left him wanting more of her.
Left him wanting to see her more because she brightens his day and it makes him feel like nothing could go wrong and that the bubbling happiness inside him felt so good that he wanted to feel it more because it's been quite a while since he felt this happy.
He wanted to feel her warmth against his skin because, for once, he felt feel secure. He felt safe with her. It was like she made everything okay and he would do anything to have her by his side.
His fists clenched from the nervousness as he stood in front of the wooden door, checking twice, thrice, if he arrives at the correct address.
Two, maybe three knocks and words ran through his mind, not quite sure what he wanted to say and the lump that formed in his throat made it even harder to breathe.
"Who is it?" The door opened rather widely, revealing a woman with brunette hair that framed her face perfectly. Her shoulders only covered by thin straps of her white flowy dress.
Her slim arms reached out, a hand on the doorframe and the other reaching down to her protruding belly, slowly rubbing up and down as a bright smile was plastered on her lips.
"I-I'm looking for Kim Serin—"
"Honey, who is it?" The guy he saw at the café not so long ago emerged from one of the doors of the foyer. "Who are you?" Confused, he tugged the woman behind him, putting a protective arm in front of her.
"Where's Serin?" Yoongi asked as he took a step closer, his jaw pulsating as he clenched them a little bit too hard.
"She left."
"Wait, who's Serin?" The woman gripped onto Jongin's arm as he shook his head almost too quickly.
"Baby she's no one—"
"Who are you?" Yoongi's glare snapped up to her as his patience began to grow shorter with every second passing by.
"I'm Naeun. Choi Naeun, Jongin's fiancée."
As soon as those words left her lips, Yoongi had Jongin pressed against the wall behind him with his fist coming in contact with his boney jaw.
Rage rushed through his veins and without thinking, Yoongi threw yet another punch at Jongin's cheek, grabbing him by the collar of his shirt and shoving him hard against the wall. "You asshole!"
Jongin gripped onto his wrists, struggling to pull them away. "W-What's happening?!" Naeun screamed as she jumped backwards, frightened by the stranger that suddenly barged into their house.
"Naeun, calm down!" Jongin said rather harshly and gripped onto Yoongi's collar as well. "How dare you barge into my house and—"
Another punch to his nose and finally Naeun was able to pull Yoongi away from him. "Get out!" She yells as tears trickled down her cheeks. "Get out of my house!"
Jongin pulled her behind him as he wiped his bloody nose with the hem if his shirt. "Who the fuck are you?!"
"Don't ever go near Serin, you understand?!" Yoongi's voice was hoarse as he spoke as he cringed a little because of his fist still throbbing from the blow. "Or I'll be forced to kill you if you hurt her again!"
Jongin stayed silent as his gaze focused on the wooden floor, not quite sure how to react about what happened. "You can leave now." Naeun said sternly.
Yoongi didn't even hesitate to march out of the house. The anger that he felt slowly subsided as worry followed. "Where are you?" He mumbled to himself as he fished for the scrunched up paper in his pocket.
His last chance of finding her was written just below the first address and he hailed for a cab, showing the address to the driver and slumped onto the passenger's seat.
Why didn't you just end up with me? He thought to himself. Anger boiled within him once again at the thought of someone hurting her. He knew that if he had the chance to be with her, he would never even think of hurting her; on purpose, at least.
Once the driver told him that they had arrived at their destination, Yoongi gave him what's left of his money, silently regretting not bringing a bigger amount and trailed into the lobby of the hotel.
He went up to one of the receptionists with high hopes as he asked for Kim Serin. "I'm sorry, sir but she checked out just this morning." The lady said with a slight frown.
"Oh..." Disappointed, he thanked the lady and walked out of the lobby, trying to figure out what he was going to do next.
