"She probably won't be back for a couple of weeks."
A couple weeks turned into three months and the thought of her was forcefully and reluctantly pushed to the back of his mind.
On the first week, he went to the studio everyday just in case she showed up. But after 4 weeks, practically a month, he gave up.
He waited for her long enough and if it's meant to be, then it will happen.
But it didn't.
"Don't be so ridiculous, Yoongi. You've only known her for, what? Two weeks?" Haerin rolled her eyes because she's had enough of his sentiment. "Quit moping over her!"
"I agree with her. It's been two months—"
"Three," Haerin corrected.
"Three months since you've last seen her," Chanwoo placed a saucer with a chocolate covered doughnut in front of Haerin. "That's 12 weeks to get over her. In fact, you should be over her."
Yoongi sighed and ignored the both of them. They've been nagging him all day over the fact that he hasn't gotten over Serin. "Whatever, man." Yoongi rolled his eyes and went into the stockroom.
He always came here to think. It was quiet and still, just like how he always preferred everything to be. He wasn't the type to want to be around a lot of people, or go out to go to loud parties.
Yoongi preferred to stay within the comforts of the four walls of his room, working on a few lyrics as a hobby or to just sleep. The silence calmed him and it gave him a sense of security.
"Three months," He mumbled because he, himself, couldn't believe how time flew by so fast. Yoongi sat down on top of one of the crates, disappointed in himself because for one, he had never felt this way towards someone, especially someone whom he barely knew anything about.
Yoongi was used to being chased. He always had girls running after him and it's not that he was a player but it's just that he always believed that he never really needed anyone else. But for some reason, it felt different this time. It was him who tried to run after her but it's been so long and he couldn't see her anymore.
After realising that it wasn't so bad to be alone at home, that silence wasn't always so comfortable, he started yearning for a second voice to echo through the walls of his home.
He ran his hands through his already disheveled hair and just stared at the blank wall in front of him. That familiar empty feeling settled in him. Some sort of anxious feeling brewed in the pit of his stomach, leaving him confused.
"Yoongi you gotta come out of there, quick!" Chanwoo banged on the door, making him jump a little, knocking down the crate he was sitting on. "What the hell, Chanwoo?! What is it?!" Yoongi grumbled and made his way out of the stockroom.
He went to the front of the store to find a grinning Chanwoo behind the counter. "What the hell is wrong with you? Stop looking at me like that!" Yoongi hissed and stood there with his arms crossed.
Chanwoo jerked his head to the right and chuckled, "Look over there." He simply said and then left to attend to one of the tables, leaving him with his mouth agape probably not even breathing.
There stood Serin in her usual jeans and sweater. She still looked a bit the same even after three months although she seemed to be a little bit slimmer and her hair was shorter but nonetheless, his heart still skipped a beat.
Yoongi was frozen for a moment until he noticed a lean figure with a tall stature of a male standing right next to her. His eyes traveled down to their connected hands and just like that, he begrudged him.
The male planted a kiss on her cheek before she turned around and made her way towards the counter. Yoongi immediately straightened up and rushed to the counter as well. "I can't believe this," He mumbled to himself.
"Looks like, she's already got someone else." Haerin joked, earning a glare from Yoongi, "Just shut up and eat your stupid doughnut."
"Hi, can I have two cups of— Oh my god," Serin held her hand against her mouth as her pupils shook from looking at his eye to the other. "Yeah, two cups of oh my god coming right up!" He joked.
Serin looked at him for a moment then blinked a couple of times and looked back above her shoulder, "Nice to see you again." Yoongi smiled at her and subconsciously toyed with the edge of the cash register.
She stayed silent for a couple of seconds before she snapped out of her own thoughts, "Yeah, it's been a while, huh?" Serin awkwardly rested her hands on the top of the counter. "How have you been?"
Yoongi bit on his tongue before he could even say what he wanted to say, "I've been doing... Well." A second of debating whether he should agree with himself or not, then, he nodded a twice.
"You?"
Serin scrunched up her nose, she always does that, he thought to himself. "Moving studios is stressful." She crossed her arms in front of her chest. Yoongi's hand crumpled into a fist, "Why didn't you tell me you were leaving?"
"Hey, don't hold up the line." Haerin smacked her hand on the table as she held the doughnut in her other hand. "The place is filling up," She snapped at Yoongi then glared at Serin.
"Sorry," Serin gripped on the spot just below the head hole of her sweater, a little habit that she developed. "Can I have two orders of Americano, please."
Yoongi nodded and printed out a receipt. "I'll bring your order at your table, ma'am." He immediately went and fixed up their drinks at the back of the counter.
When he had the drinks, he took the receipt and flipped it over, grabbing a random pen from somewhere and scribbling a quick note on the back of it.
Meet me later at your studio
He then took the two cups and the note to the table where Serin and the mysterious guy were seated. "Two Americanos for Serin." Yoongi placed the cups down, not even acknowledging the male's presence.
Yoongi turned and went to take a seat on the empty chair next to Haerin, burying his face in his hands as he let out a low grunt. "What the fuck is happening?"
