"Don't stain the tables with your paint." Yoongi plopped down on the seat in front of her. "Relax, it's watercolour." She rolls her eyes and submerges the paintbrush tip in water, looking up at him. "Don't you have work to do?"
"Look around, mint candy. No one will come 'til five." He chuckles and ruffles her hair making her snicker and smack his hand away. "Stop it with the mint candy nickname, I didn't change my hair colour for you to make silly nicknames."
"I can't help it! it just really reminds me of mint!" He raises his hands in defeat. "Yeah, yeah go back to work." She grins and takes a brush once again, continuing where she left off.
Yoongi took a brush as well and dipped it in purple, "Teach me how to do things like those." He pointed at the aurora borealis that stretched across the painting.
"It's quite easy." She smiles and rips a paper out from her sketch book, sliding it in front of him. "You start by brushing a thin layer of water across the paper." She takes a thicker brush and does it for him.
"Then you start with yellow so you should probably wash the purple out." She guides his hand and dips the brush in water, washing away the purple tint.
Her hand then guides his to brush on the yellow, taking her own brush and brushing it across the paper, "Do it like this then spread it out a little until the hard edges disappear."
"Hey that's actually starting to look pretty good." Yoongi grins as he watches the paint on his paper spread. "This is pretty easy—"
"Min Yoongi, come back here!"
He suddenly drops the paintbrush and smiles at her, "Well, that's my cue. I'll talk to you later. You should really go home." and he left.
It's Thursday today. The rain pouring since dawn, leaving the streets soaked and almost absent of people. The warmth inside was a good contrast from the chilling wind outside that's why once Serin set foot in the cafe she scurried off to find a seat at the far back.
Silly Yoongi telling her to go home when it's a downpour outside.
"Americano." The boy spoke, shifting his gaze onto the counter as he dug his trembling hands in his pockets. "A-And a cheesecake to go." He added.
With furrowed eyebrows, Yoongi punches in his order. "Here." The boy placed some bills down and turns to walk to the back of the store. "Your change?" Yoongi piped up, placing the coins down on the counter. "Right." The boy scurried to take them and hurried to look for a seat at the back of the cafe.
"Weird kid." Chanwoo chuckled with his arms crossed, leaning against the door frame. "Trembling hands, stuttering, forgetting his change?"
"Maybe he's had a bad day." Yoongi shrugs and places the espresso grounds in the espresso machine. "Ya know, don't judge a book by its cover? Get me a cheesecake to go." He points at the whole cake in the display fridge.
Chanwoo nods and takes a out the cake and places it on top of the counter, slicing a piece and placing it in a carton. "Sure, don't judge. Here," He places the carton in a brown bag, dropping a knife and a fork wrapped in a napkin.
Yoongi pours the espresso in a paper cup, the steam rising up against his nose, making him cringe at the smell. "I'm so sick of this." He mutters as he pours hot water in the cup as well and pops the cover on.
"That's really pretty." The boy cracks a small grin. "I like painting, too."
Yoongi, confused, walks towards Serin's table and places the beverage and brown bag down. "You know each other?" He asks.
