"Babe," He wrapped his arms around her, his now clothed chest pressed against her back.

The pads of his thumbs gently caressed her sides as he nuzzled her neck, "What is it, baby?"

"Don't touch me," She wiggled herself out of his arms, scurrying away from him with her arms wrapped around herself. It was a habit of hers when she felt vulnerable.

Her senses were tingling, the corners of her eyes felt like they were burning and her heart ached for an answer; an answer that can end everything and leave her heartbroken.

"B-Baby? What's wrong?" His head was tilted to the side, looking all confused like he was so innocent. "Is it because of a while ago? I'm sorry, alright, baby? I just got carried away—"

"Explain this," She started. "Explain this, Jongin!" Her gaze was glued onto the white tiles of the bathroom floor, contemplating if she really wanted this; if she was ready to get hurt with the inevitable truth.

A nervous chuckle escaped his lips, "E-Explain what?"

"Why are you here in the first place?"

The tears began welling up at the corners of her eyes and a lump began forming in her throat. "Why are you always away?"

"For a business trip! I thought we've talked about this—"

"I'm sick and tired of waiting for you back at home... I-I'm going crazy worrying about you and—and worrying if I'm no longer good enough," She frustratingly ran her fingers through her hair.

The lump in her throat had her gasping for air, desperate for the throbbing pain to go away.

"Serin, what the hell are you talking about?!"

Suddenly, she kicked the trashcan to him, with a disgusted look on her face. The trashcan toppled over, its contents spilling at his feet. "Explain what the fuck that is!"

Laid on top of a pile of tissues, boxes and her discarded toothbrush laid a white plastic bar with an oval window. Two red bars dividing it in the middle. "What is that?"

Jongin's gaze trailed down her arm, down to what she was pointing at.

"Tell me why," Serin cried, harshly wiping her tears with the back of her hand. "How could you do this?!"

He stood there, stunned, not quite sure what to do or say, only standing there with his hands idly hanging at his sides.

"H-How could you?" Her voice, barely above a whisper as she spoke. She couldn't even see him clearly anymore with all the tears flooding her sight.

She was shattered. To a million pieces that she couldn't comprehend anything anymore as he pulled her against him, profusely showering with apologies that only made her feel worse.

His hand cupped the back of her head as he cried against her neck, apologizing even more when she just stood there, motionless; eyes staring straight into nothingness, almost forgetting how to breathe.

And to think she was in love with him.

Maybe she was never in love with him in the first place.

Maybe she was only in love with the idea of him.

"G-Get away from me!" She screamed when she finally came back to her senses. Her skin feeling burns on every place he touched her.

And almost immediately, she pushed past him with her bag in her hand.

"Babe, where are you going—" She turned around, her palm landing on his cheek as she glared at him. If looks could kill, then he would've been dead by now.

Her hands shook from how much anger she felt that she couldn't help but give him another slap, tears spilling once again down the sides of her face.

He cringed at the intense sting on his cheek that felt like several needles were being pushed into his skin all at the same time, pain crawling down his neck.

"Say it to my face,"

Jongin ran his fingers through his hair as he couldn't even bring himself to look at her directly in her eyes without feeling like he wanted to just disappear.

Her heart clenched with pain that spread through her like a wildfire and she was choking on her words as she tried to speak the jumbled words in her mind. "Say it to my face. Tell me what you did."

"I got her pregnant! Okay!" He snapped, his fist hitting whatever was within reach. "You happy now—"

A slap to his cheek, earning profanities as the sting grew stronger and stronger. "We're done." She spoke with tearstained cheeks and rage that she didn't even know she could accommodate.

With that, she picked up her duffel bag, halfheartedly storming out of his life.
