"B-But you just got home?" Serin trailed behind Jongin who was practically running around his apartment, trying to gather up all his necessities.
A month had passed since he left for Japan for a business trip and it has only been a week since he had just arrived back to Korea, yet he's packing up his bags yet again, ready to leave.
Jongin ran his fingers through his locks as he let out an exasperated sigh, trying to hide his annoyance, "Serin, baby," He placed the bottle of perfume down and turned to her. "Baby, you know I can't turn this down."
Serin, then, slowly nodded as she remembered how he had been talking nonstop about his promotion when he came back from Japan.
A month ago, Jongin had been promised for a promotion and just as promised, he got his promotion exactly one day since his arrival.
She felt ecstatic for his new achievement. She couldn't help but feel lonely just like not so long ago, now that he's leaving once again.
"I just got promoted. I can't let them down, honey." He gently rested his hand on the dip of her waist and pulled her close to him as he leaned onto the counter.
His forehead gently rested against hers, eyes closed, steady heartbeat being the only other sound he could hear apart from her soft breaths.
Stories were exchanged over a plate of burnt bacon and oddly shaped eggs, while they sat on the couch, drowning in two layers of blankets as they shared the meal.
Jongin had insisted that they eat their breakfast from one plate as he wanted to, "Spend some more time with you,"
Of course, he got his way because being the typical girl that falls for her boyfriend's sweet words that she is, her heart melted right inside her chest as she gave in without a second thought.
Two plates and seats sat in front of each other seemed too far for his liking, cuddling with barely any gap in between them sounded much better, apparently.
The early hours of the morning were just like how a typical Sunday morning was; buried under layers and layers until Jongin had received a call from his boss, saying that it was urgent for him to get back to Japan before night.
A sigh escaped past Serin's lips as she finally gave in. "Baby, it won't be so long and you know that." Jongin smiled and softly rubbed the top of her head. "I'll be back before you even noticed that I was gone."
And with that, he pulled her close to him, connecting their lips, taking her breath away in the process of deepening the kiss. He tilted his head to the side with his hands travelling down, gently caressing the small portion of unclothed skin.
His fingertips sent waves of electricity through her body, making her jolt back at the sudden contact and she couldn't do anything else but grip onto his firm biceps.
"I'll miss your kisses, though." He mumbled against her lips and slowly pulled away from the kiss with a smirk playing on his lips.
Serin was just about to complain when he suddenly planted soft kisses down the side of her jaw, making her grip onto the back of his white shirt when his teeth nipped on the soft skin, sucking a little then slowly letting go.
Jongin chuckled as she gasped when he stuck out his tongue, gently licking, massaging the purplish splotches beginning to form onto the pale skin of her neck, spreading his warmth against her neck.
A ticklish feeling crawled down her spine when he pulled away a little. His breath fanned over the wet and purplish bruise on her skin. "Just so you won't miss me that much."
