I started thirteen summers to explore the themes & spread awareness about late autism diagnosis in girls & women, grief and eating disorders.

These are things that have affected my life for a number of years, and writing this book has been a way for me to express my pain and hopefully connect to others who have been through these things.

It had been an idea of mine for years but after my mother passed away, I decided to go ahead and start it.

I've always loved these family books on here but I wanted to be bring something new to the table and explore things I couldn't find in other books such as Josie's autism.

Being late diagnosed is always a weird one, it's very common in girls and women because all the research on autism has historically been based off young boys.

After getting diagnosed as teenager, it stirred emotions in a way I didn't know it could and the years since then, I've learned to accept myself and grow knowing this.

I plan to explore this more in Book 2.

Thank you all for reading this book, you all mean a lot to me and I genuinely feel like writing this book and seeing your comments has healed me and I do hope you continue with Josie's story.

With that being said, let's continue to break the mold and approach this genre of books in a new way!

Josie's story will continue in Endless Winter!
