Jujutsu Kaisen: Nah I'd Adapt

The New Jujutsu Age bill requires all practitioners of Jujutsu to obtain a license to use it in public. It is required for all active Jujutsu sorcerers under the Jujutsu Headquarters in Japan. However, this bill wasn't a spur-of-the-moment decision by the higher-ups for more power. There have been discussions with the Simurians who arrived on Earth.

Ever since they arrived, there have been some...difficulties with their existence near Earth. In the other timeline, cursed spirits were forced into Tokyo for purification rituals that could only be performed at certain times. However, curses in the current age are exorcised on sight.

Unknowingly, this has caused major issues for Simurians. While the Simurians still aren't public knowledge, their religion is even more unknown to the denizens of Earth. Unfortunately for the two races, it's almost impossible to coexist with the current system.

The Simurians who arrived on Earth, the Rumel, worship Kalyan as sacred beasts. They are immortal beings who take the form of different animals. It just so happens that cursed spirits give off a very similar aura.

The Rumel race has three eyes. Their third eye on their forehead functions like the brain of a human Jujutsu sorcerer. The third eye is the source of their Jujutsu, or Rolloluca, and when they are born and die, it cries.

However, their eye also cries when a Kalyan dies, creating much emotional distress and pain that it can prove fatal. On Simura, the Rumel were discriminated against because of their worship of Kalyan, because the Kalyan are hostile to all races other than the Rumel.

The primary reason the Simurians have been so inactive since arriving is the pain and distress involved every time a human exorcises a cursed spirit. Every time they come close to Earth, their third eye cries, and they are brought to exhaustion.

The New Jujutsu Age bill seeks to take control of current exorcisms, temporarily halting them while maintaining diplomatic relations with the Simurians. Even so, the current system hasn't been fully implemented, so the meeting is currently proceeding virtually.

"I would like to say it is nice to meet you, but I'm sure you are aware that these are troubling circumstances. In any case, I'm known as Jabaloma." The large face on the screen, reminiscent of the LEGO-brick version of Tengen, spoke with seriousness. He is usually calm and collected. If you were to look at his forehead where his third eye resided, you would see it red, not from anger or malice, but like that of an exhausted eye crying.

No matter how kind-hearted someone is, when the sacred beasts of your religion are constantly being slaughtered in the streets, making you cry uncontrollably, it would naturally leave a person heavily distressed and exhausted.

Usami and Mino nodded as they introduced themselves. "We understand. I'm Usami, and this is my subordinate Mino." Seeing that the introductions were done, Jabaloma continued. "I'll get straight to the point. My people would ask that you stop the killing of the Kalyan. Then we can deepen diplomatic relations. As things stand, my people are becoming restless with hate."

The two Japanese representatives shared similar views. They couldn't stop killing cursed spirits. The lives of their people could be in danger. Yuji Itadori could reduce their strength and numbers with his advanced barrier techniques, but only to a point.

Usami made his thoughts known. "We understand, but this isn't something that can be made overnight. The Kalyan you speak of are cursed spirits. They operate on negative energy. While I don't know their connection to your Kalyan, I can assure you that we are not killing your sacred beasts."

The Jujutsu Headquarters were the first to speak with the Simurians, providing them with insight into basic Simurian history. As a result, it became known among the high-ranking individuals that Kalyan are the sacred beasts of the Simurians, at least the ones visiting Earth.
