A yawn escaped my lips as I rummaged through my drawers to get ready for the first day of school. Living here had been interesting, as Luke was a complete and utter asshole. Liz and Andrew were so kind though, always trying to scold Luke as well. It was Friday, a stupid day to start school if you ask me. Whatever I guess, we had a weekend right away.
I pulled on a pair of black denim shorts with a sigh, blinking my tired eyes as I bent over to look for a shirt. When I stood up with a shirt, I turned around to see Luke leaning in the door frame. Apparently I didn't hear him open the door.
"What the hell?" I groan, quickly pulling my shirt over my head. I decided on a FOB 'stay up til the lights go out' sleeveless shirt. I turned around to slip on my old black and white high top converse as he walked in further.
"Mum says I need to walk you to school. We have to leave in ten minutes." I nod, annoyed with him as I apply some makeup. "Wow, you almost look human with makeup!" he exclaims sarcastically and I roll my eyes while grabbing my bag; it had skeleton hands all over it.
I didn't even put on much makeup, some concealer for my bags, bottom eyeliner, and mascara.
"Very funny." I snap, both of us leaving my room. He wore an anticulture shirt and tight blue jeans, a SnapBack thrown on his head.
We stop in the kitchen, Liz standing there tiredly. She grins when she sees us, but not for long when she sees the glares on both of our faces.
"Luke, don't just walk Emily to school. Show her around and help her out." she waves, sending him a warning look and handing both of us our schedules. He scoffs as we begin our walk to school, which is very short.
We stop in front of the school, various kids standing out here in groups or entering already. He looks at my schedule with a groan, stomping his foot a little.
"We have Maths and English together." I sigh, looking over my classes. Today I had Art, Maths, History, and Study Hall. Monday I had Science, PE, English, and French. "I'm going to find my friends. I don't know you." he scoffs, speeding off as I huff.
I walk into the school and gulp a bit. It's not a small school, this is going to be difficult. I look at the room number for art, then the ones on the wall nearby. I find art somewhat easily, taking a seat at an empty table for four.
I take out a notebook and just sketch a bit to get ready, I'm not sure what we're supposed to be doing in this class. It could be pottery, or it could be painting. I'm ready for whatever. The seat next to me is taken by a girl with a glare as she tosses her bag to the side.
The glare however isn't aimed at me, it's aimed toward the back of the room. The loud kids. And probably because she has to be at school. Me too.
She has jet black hair, with electric blue tips which looks well with her blue eyes. I'm going to assume she isn't naturally black haired, I can tell by her eyebrows which are a dark brown. She's wearing black jeans paired with black Doc Martens, and a plain black shirt. Very creative colors, but I'm not one to judge. She also has on some bracelets, being various different bands.
She turns around sharply as a boys giggle is heard in the back, and I turn to see a curly haired boy sitting with a friend as she asks him rudely to shut up. He nods, a roll of his eyes as him and his friend quiet down. His friend has bright pink hair, just sighing as the teacher walks in.
"Hey, you like fall out boy?" she asks me and I nod, a small smile on my face. "You're new here, I haven't seem you around. I'm Ella." she grins, suddenly very friendly with me. I shake her hand, as the teacher starts taking attendance. Her glare has vanished.
