I laughed lightly as I watched Calum across the table use two straws to act like a walrus. He took me out to an amusement park and had been acting like a fool all day. It was kind of cute. We had just stopped rushing around to get some late dinner at the parks restaurant.

"Cal, there are other people here," I hum. He rolls his eyes a bit but puts the straws down. "Thank you." He was drawing a lot of attention from bitchy adults and I felt uncomfortable with all of the glares our way.

"So who does Liz think you're out with?" Calum wiggles his eyebrows.

"You, I wasn't gonna just lie. She thinks it's cute," Liz loved the idea of seeing me with Calum. She knew him well and that was her favorite part. "She loves you,"

"She better." Calum scoffs jokingly and eats some more of his fries. I had a slight headache but we were going to be here for a few more hours so I figured it would go away on its own.

"What time does the park close?" Calum holds up all of his fingers to signal the time as he chews his food. "And what time do you think we'll be back?"

"I'll have you back by curfew, don't worry." The ball of endless energy stands up to toss out his trash before walking back to me. "Ready to go on some more rides?"

"Yeah, but let's try to stay away from the spinning ones for a bit." I chuckle as he grabs my hand to drag me straight toward the bumper cars. "I'm gonna kick your ass,"

"Looking forward to it." He grins.

As soon as we can we rush to the sparkly bumper cars, Calum fighting a small child for his. Although he ends up losing, pouting, and walking over to one that isn't sparkly. As soon as we're allowed to start driving them, I ram my car into his. He giggles a bit as several more people ram into us, not even paying attention to the actually ride.

"Hey Emily?" He shouts from the corner he's in whole driving toward me. "Will you be my girlfriend?"

I pause for a moment, which of course is the reason people bump into me and shove me far away from Calum. In fact, I lose him in all of the people until the ride is over.

Did I even hear him right? Is that really want he asked?

I don't see myself as a person someone could really like. It's just not something I ever thought would really happen- but here Calum is, and I'm almost positive I heard him right. I just don't know if I can believe it.

"Em?"

"Yeah." I breathe, looking up into his brown eyes and seeing the smile spread across his face. I can feel my own growing as realization hits. And that's that. He gives me a quick kiss and we go back to our day of fun, but whenever he does small gestures they mean more to me somehow.

Toward the last hour or so we end up riding the log flume over and over, resulting in us being absolutely soaked. Neither of us really mind as we sit down to eat our ice cream, my phone buzzing in my pocket. I only look because of the fact that it could be Liz, but it turns out to just be Luke bugging me.

I leave him on read with a sigh as I notice the park is about to close. We have just enough time to finish our ice cream and dry off a bit before we go.

"I had a lot of fun today, Cal." I grin.

"Me too, Em. We should do it again sometime. But for now I have to get you home." Calum let's out a sigh as his lips pout just a bit, not wanting to have to leave. But we still have to ride back- which goes all too fast. "I'll see you tomorrow?"
