Luke's stupid friends stayed until Sunday night, only going home around nine. It was the middle of the week, and I hadn't been forced to hangout with Luke again which I guess was good. He was still being extremely rude to me though.

Currently, I was in second period with Ella and Ashely. It was PE, we weren't participating in the group activity but rather walking around the track. They were playing some type of football, which we weren't up for. Luckily we have a nice teacher, who told us she was fine with us not playing as long as we did something else.

The teacher blew her whistle, signifying we could go change. I was the first inside, quickly changing back into my skinnies and a plain red shirt.

"Ready?" I nod to Ella and Ashely as we make our way toward the familiar rock in the woods. We probably shouldn't be here, but nobody notices that we aren't in lunch.

I sit next to Beth, taking out my phone and checking it. I couldn't check it in PE but I didn't really have many new notifications anyways. Everyone in the group took out their cigarettes and lighters, blowing puffs of smoke.

I bit my lip and held back a cough as I was engulfed in smoke. I had English with Luke after, so I'll just spray myself with some perfume to get rid of the smoke smell. I didn't just have English with Luke, but all of his friends as well. At least we didn't have assigned seats in that class, so I could sit as far away from them as I wanted.

"My math teacher gave me detention for not doing my homework." Michelle rolls her eyes, inhaling some smoke. "It's not even part of our grade!" she groans in frustration. I hate when teachers tell you that your homework doesn't matter because it isn't part of your grade, but make you do it anyways.

"Just skip it." Joe shrugs at her, planting a firm kiss on her lips. She nods, liking the idea. I don't understand that, she'll just get in more trouble. Whatever I guess.

Ella opens her pack of cigarettes, looking to me.

"Are you sure you don't want one?" she raises a brow as I bite down in my bottom lip. I examine the cigarette for a moment, knowing just how bad they are for you. Everyone in the group is looking toward me as I stare at the last one in the pack.

I take it slowly, putting it between my lips and grabbing her lighter. I swallow slowly, lighting the cigarette. She smirks at me, a nod of approval.

I breathe in, letting the smoke fill my throat. I almost cough, but resist it. This isn't enjoyable at all, but I blow out the smoke without coughing. It has a strange taste as well.

"Here, take this." Jim tells me, tossing me a new pack and lighter. I accept it slowly, slipping it into my pocket cautiously. I smile, thanking him but not meaning it. I take another puff of smoke, hating the way it feels.

Why am I doing this? They were fine with me not smoking, I don't know why I felt the need to anyways.

We check the time, realizing that we're late for class. We come upon school grounds, getting back inside simply. I stick a piece of spearmint gum in my mouth while I'm at my locker, spraying myself with perfume.

I slam it shut, rushing to the nurse. I smirk to myself as I tell her I have a headache. Blatant lie, but easily faked. She gives me aspirin and a pass. I thank her, walking to class with it. I show up and all heads turn to me like I've just killed a man.

Luke and his friends sit at the back right corner table, looking to me amusedly. I smile at the teacher, flashing my nurses pass and getting a nod of approval. I look around, seeing the only empty seats are at a table right by the boys coincidentally.
