Pizza Night:
Snow fell softly outside the London flat, dusting the streets in quiet white while the wind rattled gently against the windows.
Inside, the fire crackled low in the fireplace.
The kitchen was chaos.
Flour coated the counter.
Cheese packets were open.
Tomato sauce splattered the edge of the stove.
And in the centre of it all—
Lilly.
Barefoot.
Grey sweats.
Black t-shirt.
Hair tied back.
Focused.
"Don't touch that," she muttered without looking up.
Leah froze mid-reach.
"I wasn't—"
"You were absolutely about to touch it."
Leah leaned against the counter with an exaggerated sigh.
"You're very controlling for someone making pizza."
Lilly smirked slightly while kneading dough.
"I'm controlling because someone in this room thinks salt is 'too spicy.'"
Leah gasped dramatically.
"That is slander."
"You once called garlic aggressive."
"It is aggressive!"
Lilly shook her head, laughing quietly.
"You're a professional athlete and garlic scares you."
Leah folded her arms, pouting.
"I score goals and stop strikers. I don't fight seasoning."
Lilly slid the dough onto a tray.
"You're a princess."
Leah stepped closer.
"A tomboy princess."
"Same thing."
Leah grabbed Lilly's waist suddenly, pulling her closer.
"You love it."
Lilly huffed but didn't move away.
"Go sit down before you ruin something."
Leah leaned in and kissed her quickly.
"You love me."
"Unfortunately."
Another kiss.
"Hopelessly."
Lilly rolled her eyes but her smile gave her away.

The Next Morning
Cold air hung over the training pitch.
The grass was damp from frost.
The players jogged out onto the field.
At the centre stood Leah.
"Alright, listen up!" she called.
The squad gathered.
Among them:
• Kim Little the best captain
• Katie McCabe
• Beth Mead
• Vivianne Miedema
• Lia Walti
• Caitlin Foord
And the rest of the team
(Can't be fucked naming them lol)
