Le's Soldier

Part 21

Lilly POV:

The past two have been great with Le, I've been to two games and a couple of her training sessions. Except my mental side of things haven't been so good. I got diagnosed with PTSD 2 years ago and at first I was struggling but with help from Katie and Tommy I got better and started to learn how to deal with it but lately my head has just been so crowded with the memories from my childhood the scared the faces on women, children and families on mission, my team dying in bomb and so much more bullshit Thats happened in my life. It doesn't help that Katie hasn't really spoken to me the past week for some weird reason and it's making me over think.

I roll over in bed slightly trying not to wake the blonde headed beauty next to me, to look at the clock. 4am. Fuck sake. The past couple days I haven't been able to sleep cuz of these stupid nightmares. Each one has woken Leah up and I feel so bad so cuz then shes tired for training.

I felt a brush of a soft warm hand on my back gliding over the scars left behind, at first I jumped but then Leah cooed softly in my ear letting me know she was there. I haven't verbally told Leah what's going on in my head but she can tell something is going on and I'm not okay. I want to admit it but I just can't. I laid back down gently facing the window and Leah cuddled in behind me reaching over grabbing my hand caressing it softly. I have not clue what came over me but I started silently crying and shaking and struggling to breath to which panicked a-bit holding me tighter whispering sweet nothings in my ear. A few minutes later I calmed down and I felt Leah move to get up out of bed and I panicked and grabbed her hand quickly to which she turned back around.

"Please don't leave me" I said quietly
"Im just getting you water my love, I promise I'll be right back" she said softly kissing my forehead running out the room

A couple minutes later she came back with a glass of cold water and some ice and handed it to me. Leah got back into bed taking her oversized shirt off, and I drank a couple sips and laid down on Leah's chest slowly falling asleep to sound of her heart beating softly, and feeling her warm skin.

After a while I drifted off to sleep....

Leah's POV:

I stayed up a little later than Lil to make sure she was okay. She's been a lot quieter lately and distant but almost clingy in a way that was kinda like she was scared I was leaving her. Katie had been acting weird and not talking to her and neither of us can figure out why and I can tell that it's really taking a toll on her.

I fell asleep not long after brushing through Lilly's hair.

Lilly's POV:

I woke up around 8 still on Leah's chest. I leaned over to grab my phone and saw a few a notifications. Once I cleared them and answered some messages I woke Leah up gently as she had training at 9am.

"Bub wake up" I said sofltly brushing her cheek gently
Leah shifted and smiled opening her eyes slowly reaching out towards me
I grabbed her hand and kissed her lips lightly
"You okay baby?" Leah whispered smiling
"Yeah of course. Sorry for earlier it just came on"
"Please talk to me if you need to. I'm always here" she said with pure love in her eyes
"I know baby. Thank you"
"I love you so fucking much" I said looking into her eyes
"I love you more my love" she said back smiling softly leaning down pecking my cheek and lips
