Lonely eyes

Chapter 14

Colton P.O.V
------------------------------------------------------ Her smile is wide as she spins in a open field of white daisies, her hair flows like a free river in the light spring breeze. She's in no pain she has no scars and she's happy, a little girl runs up grabbing her hands as her smile grows I sit  in the field watching my beautiful wife and baby girl dance with the flowers. Alex looks at me and waves me over and we latch hands and going in circles fall to the ground laughing as all the flower pollen skaters across the sky landing on our daughter noise causing her to laugh and sneeze. Alex lays her head on my chest and we watch the clouds our baby girl chasing butterflies "I love you" i hear her say.

I wake up smiling and pet her hair. I think about how peacefully happy she was in my dream as she sleeps with her head on my chest and hand on my stomach and side curled up to my side, I kiss her the top of her head and whisper to myself "I promise that I'll make you that happy and pain free one day baby," I pause looking at her sleeping face, "I promise.."

I was twirling her hair with my fingers when her sweet beautiful blue eyes fluttered open, I smile kissing her forehead "morning sweetie." She looks up with her sleep filled eyes smiling. "Morning." She says while stretching out her arms across my chest she grunts in her throat rubbing her face against my side making me chuckle and her smile as she rolls on top of me. Her elbows press into my sides as I slide over so we don't fall off the couch we past out on the previous night, she giggles and slides her hands under my shirt mumbling "hmmm your so warm baby."

I smile placing my hands on her hips I like having her lay on me like this, her legs tangled with mine her head on my collar bone as her hair sprawled out. I nudge her head with mine wanting to see her face, she sits up on my hips smiling her messy hair tangled around her face. My heart drops to my stomach when my eyes reach her neck seeing the faded scratch marks from her anxiety attack the night before... Because of me. I guess my face gave away that I was upset cause she asked "what's wrong babe?"

I sigh reaching out and gently touching her throat with my finger tips, "I'm so sorry baby, I .. I didn't mean to upset you that much.." She catches on and her shoulders slouch forward. I sit up pulling her into a tight hug having her still in my lap. She wraps her legs around my waist and I be careful not to squish her legs into the couch arm as I hold her.

While laying her head in the crease of my neck she says, "it's not your fault." I take a deep breathe holding onto her back hugging her tighter hiding my face in her long soft but tangled hair. "No it is ... I hurt you.."

She stand ups on balls of her knees pushing me so we were now looking eye to eye as she says, "babe stop.. You didn't hurt me you scared me, and I can tell from last night that you had a good reason for what happened last night. My step mom hurt me, my dad hurt me ... My brother that left 5 years ago and never got back in contact.. They hurt me.. You you saved me so please baby stop."  Her hands cup around my face as a tear rolls down my cheek. She kisses me. The most heart filled passionate slow kiss I have ever experienced in my life.

"I once read some where," she begins to say while pulling out of the kiss sooner then Id like, " it said 'Life is to short. Break the rules. Forgive quickly. Kiss slowly. Love truly. Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that makes you smile.' That is everything I feel and live for when I'm with you." I smile as she pulls my chin up looking into my eyes.

"I don't know what I did so right to get some one so.. So beautiful and caring like you." I say and chuckle as she hides her face with her hands covering that beautiful smile of hers. God I love this girl. I smile and pull her hands from her face kissing her cheek and ask if she'd like something to eat. She nodded her head yes getting off the couch and following me into the kitchen.

As I grab the trey of the pizza rolls Alex walks down from the stairs, wearing black skinny jeans with a loose white cross shirt. She sits on the counter next to me finishing tying the laces of her combat boots then smiles up at me giving me a sweet little peck. "How was your shower?" I ask while setting the trey on top of the oven, then turning it off.

"Good, relaxing.. Would have been better if you were there." She says jokingly pushing my arm and sticking her tongue out at me. I chuckles as I say "Your not nice, teasing me like this." She giggles shrugging her shoulders and hopping off the counter grabbing a plate. "But you know you love me." She says over her shoulder smiling as she gets food.

"Yes I do." I chuckle shaking my head at how much of a little shit she is but god she makes me happy. With that cocky smile and the way she sticks her tongue out when she's winning arguments, the way she walks away from me with that sassy walk that makes her ass look great.

I get my food and join her at the dinning room table. We eat in a comfortable silence with the occupational laughs from her stealing my pizza roll or me stealing one of hers. "STOP!!" She yells as I take the last of her pizza rolls, "baaaabe," she begs in annoyance reaching up at my hand. I smile as I slowly put my hand towards my mouth as if I was going to eat it. "COLTON!!! Please" she gives me those big puppy eyes that I have never seen her do before but God damn she was good at it. And the crystal blue of her eyes made it even harder to resist. I sigh in defeat giving her her pizza roll back and chuckles as she giggles and pops it into her mouth eating it then sticking her tongue out at me again and humming in her throat as in saying she won.

I laugh at her sassiness and slap her ass, she turns around with a bewildered look on her face making me burst into a fit of laughter and I see it in her face that I should run so I bolt up the stairs with her following me her combat boots stomping close behind. I smile as she laughs my name her finger tips almost gripping my shirt as I turn and run into the room she follows to close behind to close to the door so I run around jumping on my bed. She jumps up and falls stomach first on the bed from me jumping off giving me enough time to get out the room and hold the door close.

She pulls at the door handle in a fit of laughter and giggles, "Colton.. Open the door." She laughs out pulling on the door harder I laugh shaking my head remembering she can't see me I laugh again at myself as I say "never!" She groans getting jokingly frustrated and pulls hard on the door. I can feel the handle twist and turn in the palms of my hands, I just hold on tighter putting my foot against the door frame being able to now lean all my weight back making sure she can't pull the door open.

As if she could see what I just did she giggles and groans "That's not far!!" I laugh and smile mischievously as I say "okay." And let go of the handle turning it so the door open. I hear a thud and almost fall to the floor laughing as I look down and see her on the floor rubbing her butt. She glares at me reaching up for my hand and does some type of ninja move with her feet ending me up on the floor laughing next to her.

We lay on the floor laughing and holding hands, every time we calm the fits we go to look at each other and it starts again. I wipe from under my eyes huffing in from laughing so hard and chuckle as she laughs harder holding her stomach and groaning "owe" rolling to her side facing me.

"I should... Have abbs after .. This shit." She says between laughs and deep breathing. I lift up my shirt and say "looks like mine already came through." I wink as she glares at me, "that's not fair, you already had perfect abbs before hand!" She crawls to me grabbing my wrist and pinning me to the floor, straddling my hips.

"Oohhh." I say wiggling my eyebrows, "getting kinky are we?" She giggles kissing my lips nice and slow I pull at my arms to put my hands on her hips but she resists releasing my wrist, she smiles in the kiss, pulling away she says, "shut up noob." I laugh "noob?" I ask. She just smiles and nods her head with full confidence and cockiness. I bite my lip as I feel her chest press against mine, her hands giving away at my wrist as she cross her arms laying her chin on them looking up at me.

"I like this." I say as I rest my hands on her hips. "I like having you on top of me." I smirk and chuckle as she slaps my chest, "shut up, you ruined the moment." She laughs and lays her cheek on my chest and I rub her back kissing the top of her head.

"I love you Colton." She says after a while of silence, just laying here with my arms around her back holding her close and tight to my body.

"I love you to Alex.
