Gus pulls up in front of Colton's house,we had already dropped off Jess and Kasy, I turn to him unbuckling pulling him into one last hug "thank you for everything." I say before pulling away. He gives me a soft smile gripping my shoulder "no problem sis I'll always be here for you, you know you can tell me anything I'm not going anywhere." I nod smiling then stepping out and closing the car door, I wave as he pulls off to the road. Once he turns the corner I turn and walk up the path way to the house I don't bother to knock James has told me to just walk in that it's my house to. I drop my shoes at the door yawning as I climb the stairs tiredly last night I hadn't fell asleep till about 3 in the morning and work up at 9 and the whole six hours of sleep just wasn't doing it for me.I truck up the stairs dragging my feet along the carpet of upstairs to mine and Colton's bedroom. I open the door to find Colton pacing our room his hair a mess and eyes wide, "Colton?" I ask he turns fast towards me rushing upwards grabbing my arms as he looks me over frantically.
"Where were you!" He yells. I coil back taking steps that are rejected by his tightening grip, I clear my throat but my voice still shakes as I say "I was at Jess you know that..." "Yah for a few hours you said for a few hours! Not the night and next day! And why is your hair a mess why do you smell like weed and booze." He yells his voice rising with every word. I snap.
"Why does it fucking matter!" I yell stepping closer to his face, "will you make up your god damn mind of weather you want to love or hate me? To care or fucking not!" My words drip with poison but I don't care I continue. " and by the way I was with Jess Kasy and my brother last night, we went to a party and yes I got high and yes I got drunk but you know why? Cause I needed an escape! Escape from what you may ask.. YOU!" My voice is loud and harsh I almost don't recognize it as my own.
"You got what!" He yells back, his face is red with furry and if my arms were twigs they would have already snapped from the pressures of his hands, "You heard me! Now let me go!" I yell attempting to shake his grip from me but it only tightens, my eyes met his and the eyes that stare back are not ones I recognize. They're cold and harsh almost rabbed the warming green was now replaced with a storm hard grey.
My anger begins fading being replaced with fear, "Colton let go! Your hurting me..." I now beg pulling again at my arms and again have it denied. He slams my back hard against the wall my spine hits the door frame before hitting the flat wall, yelping while I say "Colton you're hurting me!" I yell attempting to push his chest to get him away from me but it doesn't work, his eyes are glassed over and the person who stands in front of me isn't the Colton I know this Colton is scaring me.
"You're so fucking ungrateful! I let you move in here I buy you cigarettes! I do everything for you and this is how you repay me!" He yells his face so close his hot breathe washes over my face causing goose bumps to cover my skin. "What the hell are you talking about!" I yell back pushing him back agains this time using all the force I had he actually lets go as he stumbles back then steps back to me gripping my elbow as he wipes me to his chest my arms throb from where his hands were and my elbow aches as his nails dig into the skin.
"You just leave and don't tell me where you are or talk to me the whole night you're such a ungrateful slut!" He spits. My heart falls into my stomach as I go numb, "Yah well go ahead and call me a slut because last night I didn't answer your 100 phone calls cause I was sleeping with Jess and you know what SHES MUCH BETTER THEN YOU'LL EVER BE.!" I spit back then realize what I just said and immediately regret everything.
His face softens with pain then hardens back to a colder expression. "Colton... I'm so sor.." I go to say but am stopped by a stinging shooting through my cheek. My hand flies to my cheek, he just slapped me? My eyes water as I push him hard away from me almost causing him to fall backwards, his eyes become soft and warm again and the Colton I know returns but it doesn't fix the fact he just slapped me.
