Lapis

The ship came down to Earth.

I shot large bolts of water, trying to set in off course even in the slightest, but to no avail.

"Malachite." I turned to face Jasper, a look of horror clothing my face.

Malachite, the six armed, four legged, monster of a fusion, was a fusion of Jasper and I.

Every time we fuse, something goes terribly wrong. One time, I even dragged Jasper to the bottom of the ocean for a thousand years.

"Only if you promise to let me take control," when I was in control, Malachite was a... slightly reasonable gem. But when Jasper was in control, she was a killing Machine.

Then there was when we fought for control, or when both thought they were in control. All in all, Malachite is dangerous to be a part of.

"Fine, just do it before I get upset! " No arguments there.

I reached my arm out, which Jasper took. She twirled and dipped me, and we began to fuse.

"I'm back!" Malachite roared, spreading her arms out wide.

Jasper, stick to the program.

Okay, Okay.

She breathed, then shot chains of water up at the ship.

Be careful, and calm.

You're the one whose in control, not me.

Shut up, we're becoming unstable!

"Guys!"

Malachite turned.

"Connie?"

We're slipping!

Why is she here?

She should be with her father!

Ugh, I'm... slipping!

Stay calm!

I... CAN'T!

Malachite defused, and sent us flying.

"Lapis! " Peridot cried.

I spread my wings. "I'll be fine! "

I arrived back at our makeshift base at the same time as Jasper and Connie.

"Connie, why are you here?" I asked.

"You should be with your father!" Jasper snarled.

"I need to be here! I've got Mom's gem!" Connie protested.

The ship landed. Three gems stepped off.

Pearl, a tall gem with square hair, and a small purple gem.

"Really Pearl? You call me to Earth for this? A failed experiment, an overgrown  kindergartener, and some lost defective Peridot? " The tall gem asked, gesturing to me, Jasper, then Peridot.

The purple one saw Connie.

"And a human." She added.

"B-but Garnet-" Pearl began.

"No Pearl, blast them with the ship!" The gem, 'Garnet', held up her hands.

A fusion? But that tactic hasn't been used in ages!

Pearl sighed, and almost blasted us with The ship, until Connie stepped in.

She leaned forward, swung her arms back, and summoned her sword.

"No!" She cried out.

"Connie?" Pearl asked.

"How do you know Connie?" Jasper demanded.

Garnet stepped forward.

"Yellow Diamond? So this is where she was hiding! This is how she evaded my future vision!" She summoned her weapon, a pair of gauntlets.

I shared a look with Peridot, as Garnet grabbed  for Connie, but I never heard Connie scream with the force of her gauntlets.

"Lapis..." I looked down and noticed the gauntlet around my mid section.

My upper body removed from my lower body.

"I'll be fine-"
