We are the Crystal gems

When the dust cleared, I thought we were home free.

"You did it Connie!" I cheered, lifting her on my shoulders.

"Actually, Lapis did it." Connie responded.  I glanced over at the runt to congratulate her, but she was busy holding hands with Peridot.

"Ugh, you Crystal Gems think you can stop homeworld?" We all gasped, and looked at Garnet, who was emerging from a pile of rubble. "If I had water powers,  I would've won. You're lucky that she isn't here, or else I'd- "

"Garnet!" I recognized the purple runt's voice. Garnet picked her out of the rubble and threw her down.

"Amethyst , fuse with Me!" She demanded.

"No, Amethyst! I've seen how she treats you! You can come with us, and stop Garnet! " Connie yelled.

The runt stood there, looking down, shifting between looks of rage, horror, and sadness.

I realized something then. She was overcooked. Overcooked meaning she was a Kindergarten gem who took too long and missed the war.

As a Kindergarten gem myself, I shed a tear.

"Make up Your mind!" Garnet yelled. Amethyst walker towards her, and stopped.

"All my life, I've been called weak, and an overcooked runt. Well, nobody says that about Sugalite!" She ran to Garnet and they fused, sending up Dragon shaped beacon from which the large gem appeared.

"Oh yeah, I'm back baby!" The gem summoned Garnet's gauntlets, and a whip, and used them to create a mace that sent us flying when it hit the ground.

"Hahaha, you'll never defeat- what are you doing?  Isn't it obvious, baby? Trickin' you!"

The two arms below used the mace to hit herself in the stomach, causing the gem to fall apart.

While Garnet started to get up, Amethyst picked up a huge boulder and threw it at Garnet, poofing her, and leaving behind one red gem, and one blue one.

"We'll bubble these separate, " I said. "And on opposite sides of my room."

"Amethyst, will you come back with us? " Connie asked.

Amethyst looked ready to say yes, but ran away instead.
