The Crystal Gems are hiding something.
Where has Peridot been disappearing to?
What happened to make Jasper so unforgiving?
What's Lapis's plan to be happy?
And does Connie still want to be a Crystal Gem?
I am so so sorry for not updating... (this chapter is old) I'll update this... Eventually...
Well, the Temple was certainly less crowded. We still had the Ruby, but I had become accustomed to her.
"You know Peridot, you never told us how to get rid of the tracker on Sapphire's Gem." Lazuli said.
"Oh yeah. We'll need to bring her gem.... there."
"Oh." Her expression fell.
"Go where?" Connie asked, standing in the doorway.
"Uh..."
"Oh. I see." She turned around and leaned over the balcony railing. "I get it if you wanna go alone. I can always just... hang out at Steven's house. Or see if Dad's not busy." I stood.
"No, this is who you are. Let's find Jasperand the Ruby and-" The warp pad activated, and Jasper and the Ruby stepped off. Only Jasper looked... different.
"You cut your hair." Lapis said. My eyes shot open.
"You cut your hair? But that's like stripping away your Quartz identity! You were the best Quartz! The Quartz super soldier!" Jasper shrugged.
"I don't feel like a Quartz super soldier." Connie walked over to Jasper.
"Woah... you look so different with short hair! Why'd you do it?" Jasper growled.
"I just said I felt like it!" She yelled. Connie stepped away and Jasper's expression softened. "I didn't mean it, little yellow..."
"UGH, DON'T WE HAVE TO GO SOMEWHERE?" The Ruby screamed. Lapis flew over from the couch.
"Ruby's right. We need to get Sapphire's gem shards." She walked over to the Temple door, the door melting away to reveal her ocean room. She stepped inside and the door shut, reopening a moment later to reveal Lapis holding the Sapphire's bubble.
"Let's go then."
"Peridot, are you sure-"
"Quiet, Lazuli." Jasper said sternly. Lapis looked at Jasper, but I paid it no mind. I slowly lowered the gem shards into the fountain, stepping back abd allowing the Sapphire to reappear in her new form.
"Sapphire!"
"Ruby!"
