"Peridot's log year 1,082 day seventy two," I began.

"Two gem life forms identified as Amethyst and Pearl have gone missing, while their commander,  a fusion Garnet, remains spoofed and bubbled. In addition, myself and the other gems have knowledge that Pearl has trained Connie in the art of sword fighting, which displeased Jasper to no end." I sighed. "This is Peridot, signing off." I exited my room, and proceded to aid in the town's return to beach city.

Jasper was, as usual, screaming at Mayor Dewey, some thing about how he should've moved further.

Lapis aided by flying above and directing trafficking, whether it was vehicles or foot traffic.

Connie was with Steven, discussing the past day's events while other children listened eagerly.

"Exude me? Ms. Peridot?" I turned my head to see the short perky assistant of Mayor Dewey.

"Yes?" I asked.

"The electricity has yet to return. Is it possible you might be able to help us?" I noticed for the first time how she twirled her short, curly red hair around her finger.

"Yes, there might be something I can assist with." She led me to the power station.

"We've been trying everything, Miss Emerald." A worker said. I was about to yell and correct him that my name was Peridot, when I realized he wasn't talking to me.

"Yes, I understand. This is Peridot, I expect you to treat her with the up most respect. " The assistant told him.

"Emerald?" I asked curiously.

"Emerald Jewel," she explained. "I... Erm... come from a family where gem names are common." As she walked out, She gave me a wink.

"Anyhow, the electromagnetic electricity of the ship knocked out your generators. The power should be back on by sundown, or it won't." I said firmly.

"Won't what?" The man asked, puzzled.

Maybe Jasper was onto something when she called them dull.

"Or it won't be back on. Ever." I explained, leaving.
