Lapis

Sapphire was really nice.

I found out that she and Ruby always were fused, and were in love.

I thought back to Malachite, who was a horrible wreck.

"Hey Sapphire! " we turned around to see Jasper holding a bubbled gem.

"Ruby!" Sapphire yelled.

"Jasper, what are you doing?" I asked, narrowing my eyes.

"Making a deal. Sapphire, if I give you Ruby's bubble, will you leave and never come back?" Jasper gritted her teeth.

How dare she mess with their love! I thought, stepping towards her.

"Jasper, no."

"It's okay Lapis." I felt Sapphire's hand ice cold on my skin. I shivered.

"Jasper, I have no way of knowing if that's Ruby. Let her out, and I'll make sure she doesn't kill you. I can see that someday, you and Garnet can live in peace." Sapphire smiled.

Jasper thought for a moment. "Fine." She summoned her helmet, and popped the bubble.

Sapphire caught the gem, and held it in her hand for a moment before it regenerated.

"AMETHYST HAS SOME EXPLAINING TO DO!" A small red gem with square hair screamed.

"Ruby! It's alright. " Sapphire comforted.

"No it's not. " Jasper said.

"Jasper." Ruby said, summoning a boxing glove.

"You know why I want to fight you."

"Of course I do." Ruby gritted her teeth, and lunged at Jasper, who in turn charged.

"Stop! " Sapphire stood in the middle of the two. "You'll destroy the world. And don't forget Ruby, I've got a tracker. The second Homeworld realizes Garnet defused, they'll capture me again." Ruby and Jasper stopped.

Sapphire had told me a story about Jasper, and how she loved Sapphire.

Both gems stared at the blue gem they loved.

"Ruby, you know this is for the best. Garnet can't be stable. " Sapphire said, as Ruby engulfed her in her arms.

"I love you baby." I tear ran down her cheek, and she looked away as her fist came sown on Sapphire's gem. "Goodbye my laughy Sapphy."

Peridot stepped out from behind the counter and bubbled the shards.

"I'm sorry, Ruby." I said, putting my hand on her shoulder. She looked up at me, and hit my hand away.

"Don't touch me!"
