Sadie and Alexandra quickly walked over to their sister and sat beside her. "I knew we should have never came on this quest--we could have denied it and not go!" grumbled Madison . "But Madison, you know what Gandalf had said--we have no other choice but to continue the quest." said Sadie. "Apparently you did not hear the harsh words Thorin had said earlier! He said he wished he would have never allowed us on the quest--and for that, I'm going to grant his wish!" snapped Madison, angrily with tears in her eyes. "Madison, you're not considering of leaving the Company are you?" asked Alexandra. "Alex, Thorin doesn't want us here! We might as well just do him a favor and just return to Rivendell and stay there until we figure out a way back home!" said Madison. "Wake up and smell the rotten cave, Madison! We have no home to go back to! And besides, we were told not to LEAVE THE COMPANY!" argued Sadie.
"What? And just sit here and be bullied by Thorin! I just told you he doesn't want us here!" snapped Madison loudly. "You know what? I'm going to change that! I'm going to have a word with Oaken Shit!" shouted Alexandra. "Alex, don't! Don't talk to him! Get back here!" shouted Madison. But it was too late, Alexandra already had walked away from her sisters. Alexandra marched over to Thorin, as she tapped him angrily on the shoulder. Thorin turned around, as Alexandra struck him across the face. "You son of a bitch! How dare you speak about me and my sisters that way! We've done no wrong to you! If you learned to keep your big mouth shut, my sister wouldn't be considering of leaving the Company right now!!" Alexandra shouted at Thorin angrily. "Leaving the Company?! She can't just leave!" exclaimed Balin, standing up. "You heard me correctly, Mister Balin. Madison is wanting to leave the Company, and she is wanting to take us with her." said Alexandra, sternly.
"Miss Van Buren, your sister isn't going anywhere! And we're not going to let her! Thorin, what is the meaning of all of this? What did you say to Miss Madison earlier?!" demanded Balin. Thorin remained silent. Thorin realized he had created a real mess of things, and he didn't know how to fix it. Finally after a brief moment of silence, Thorin spoke up. "I've said some things outside the cave I shouldn't have said, and yes, I am to blame for Miss Van Buren's anger." confessed the dwarf leader. "Then you will go and speak to Miss Madison and make amends with her, and beg her not to leave!" said Balin, firmly. Thorin nodded. And so Thorin walked over to where Sadie and Madison are sitting. "Will you give your sister and I a moment please, Miss Sadie?" asked Thorin. "Why of course!" said Sadie, and she stood up, now leaving Madison alone with the dwarf leader. "What do you want?" grumbled Madison.
"I must apologize for my actions and words towards you, Bilbo and your sisters. I was under a lot of pressure when Bilbo and Sadie fell from the ledge." said Thorin. "Well it doesn't give you an excuse of wishing us that we weren't part of the Company and didn't come! That really hurt you know!" snapped Madison. "I know, Madison--your sister told me you were planning on leaving us--in which I'm not going to let you do!" said Thorin firmly, as he looked into Madison's eyes. "Haven't you remembered Gandalf's warnings, Madison? You know what would happen if you and your sisters get seperated from us. And I don't want that to happen to you!" continued Thorin. "For now on, Thorin can you be a little bit more--what's the word for it? Less tempormental?" asked Madison. "I can't guarantee you anything, Madison, but I'll try!" said Thorin. "You better! Or my sister and I will kick your ass!" shouted Sadie in the background, and soft chuckling coming from Fili and Kili.
"My sister's all talk and no action--don't pay any attention to her!" said Madison quickly. Thorin laughed. It was the first time she heard the dwarf laugh in quite a long time. Not since Rivendell. "So I take it you forgive me?" asked Thorin. "Yes, I forgive you, but first, I'm asking you for a request, or a favor!" said Madison, smiling at the Dwarf. "Wow, this is the first. No one has asked me for any requests or favors before!" said Thorin. "I was wondering if you could--well--sing a little for me!" said Madison shyly. Thorin chuckled. "Oh alright, if that's what you wish, I can sing!" said Thorin, as he gently pulled Madison into his arms. Madison gently laid her head on his chest, as Thorin began to sing softly to her. Between the rising and falling of his chests, and the sound of his voice, and his steady heart beating from his chest, Madison dozed off peacefully in Thorin's arms.
Not only after Madison went to sleep, Thorin remained awake, and he scanned around the cave, seeing if the others are asleep as well. But the only ones he had noticed are still awake are Bilbo and Bofur (whom had taken up first watch). Bilbo appeared as if he was leaving the group, as he was holding his bags near him. Thorin sat and listened to the conversation between the hobbit and Dwarf. And Thorin felt bad now, hearing that Bilbo wanted to leave due to Thorin's harsh words. Suddenly, as the conversation ended, Bilbo withdrawn his sword, and it was glowing. And this caused Thorin to look at his sword, Orcrist, and his own sword too, is glowing.

Thorin knew that it meant that danger is approaching, and first he turned his attention to Madison, as he gently woke her up. "Madison, wake up! We have to get moving!" said Thorin gently. "Already?! It seems like I just fell asleep!" grumbled Madison. "This is no time to grumble, Madison! We really need to get going! Up and at em'!" said Thorin firmly, as he helped Madison stand up. Then he turned his attention to the rest of the Company. "WAKE UP! WAKE UP!" Thorin shouted at them, as he felt the floor of the cave beginning to rumble. Suddenly, the entire floor gave in, and the entire Company fell through the floor. Soon they crashed landed in a large underground cave, and now surrounded by thousands of goblins. The Goblins confiscated their weapons, and grabbed the Company, as they dragged them to their leader, the Great Goblin.
"Whom has come and disturb my kingdom? Assassins?! Thieves?!" demanded the Goblin King. "Dwarves, your malevolence--and three witches!" replied a goblin scout. "Dwarves?! WITCHES?! What kind of rabble do we have here? And when did Dwarves become involved with witches?! This I never heard of! Bring the witches to me at once!!" The Great Goblin demanded. "Yes, sire!" said the goblin scout, and suddenly the goblins brought forth the Van Buren sisters. "I've heard that the three of you are quite special, Sisters Van Buren!" began the Great Goblin. "Whatever is up your sleeve filth, we don't want no part in it!" snapped Alexandra angrily. "Oh is that so? Well according to our Highest Master, you three are wanted. And I know a certain old foe of your Dwarf Friend's whom can take you to Him! Guards, take these women and tell the Orc they are a gift from yours truly!" The Great Goblin barked his men.
"NO! You leave them alone at once!!" barked Thorin, angrily as he stepped foward, after knocking out several goblins whom were trying to keep Thorin from moving. "Well, well, well! Look whom we have here! Its Thorin, son of Thrain, son of Thror, King Under the Mountain! Wait--you don't have a mountain! Well so they all say! I hear a certain old foe of yours have a pretty price on your head--someone whom have you met before, whom is tracking down your future bride as well!" snickered the Great Goblin. "NO! YOU LIE! The Orc died within his wounds long ago!!" shouted Thorin, angrily. "Guards, remove the witches from my sight immediately, while I deal with the dwarven rabble!" barked the Great Goblin. As the goblins dragged the Van Buren Sisters away from them, The Great Goblin barked orders to the rest of the goblins of bringing out torture devices, and placing the rest of the Company on them.
"THORIN!" Madison screamed. "HELLP!" Sadie and Alexandra screamed. "Let go of me, you son of a bitch!!" shrieked Sadie, as she tried to kick one of the goblins but failed. It had been hours since the Van Buren Sisters had been traveling with the goblins which now they are outside the Caves. "Where are they taking us?!" whispered Alexandra. "I really don't want to know where they're taking us, Alex!" said Madison. "I really have a bad feeling about this!" grumbled Sadie.
