Nobody's POV
Lake Town
The Company had been in Lake Town for two days, and they've been staying (by the request of the Master) in a special guest home arranged for them. The Company also had been invited to a feast, and they attended the feast. Thorin wasn't much in the mood of celebrating, but the rest of the Company made merry, drank and laugh as they enjoyed themselves at the Feast. "What's wrong, laddie? You're not going to join us in the merry making?" asked Balin. "I don't feel much like celebrating right now, Balin." said Thorin, quietly. "Your worried about Miss Madison, are you?" asked the older dwarf again. "Yes, I am. I just don't understand why Gandalf needed her so badly! She was much better off with us!" said Thorin, in frustration. "Now laddie, Gandalf by all means will take good care of Miss Van Buren. She will be just fine!" said Balin. "I sure hope so!" sighed Thorin.
Madison's POV:
We had just made it to the outskirts of Lake Town, when we saw two guards standing up front. "Halt! Who goes there!" called out one of the guards. "My name is Madison Van Buren, and my dwarf friend and I are in need for a stay at an inn and some food!" I replied. "What is your dwarf friend's name?"asked the second guard. "My name is Nain theThird!"spoke up Thrain. "What are you doing?"I whispered to Thrain. "They shouldn't know who I really am--not just yet!" Thrain whispered back. "Wow! It seems you're not the only dwarf we seen today!" smiled the first guard. "My Son! You found my son?!!" cried out Thrain. "Your son? What's his name?" asked the second guard. "Thorin!" I replied. "Follow me, and I will show you where your friends are located!" said the first guard, as he lead me and Thrain to the Feasting Hall. Once we arrived outside the feasting hall, the guard nodded, and walked back to his post. "Just stay behind me! We're going to surprise them!" I whispered to Thrain.
The older dwarf nodded, and he followed me inside the Feasting hall. As we entered the Feasting Hall, I could see all the members of the Company gathered around the large table, including Bilbo and my sisters. And suddenly it was my sisters who noticed me. "MADISON! You're BACK!!" cried out Alexandra and Sadie together as they ran towards me. "Madison? She's here?!" cried out Thorin, who also jumped out of his seat. "Alright, alright! It's good to see all of you again--please give me some room! I got a surprise for Thorin and the Dwarves!" I announced. Thorin stepped foward, followed by Bilbo and the rest of the dwarves. "You got a surprise for me? What is it, Madison?" asked Thorin. "You may come forward now!" I announced to Thrain, and the older dwarf stepped foward.
And the reactions from Thorin and the Dwarves are quite priceless. "FATHER?!!" cried out Thorin. "Grandfather?!" exclaimed Fili and Kili together. "THORIN!" Thrain cried out as he darted towards his son, and the two embraced. As for Thorin, he was shocked and stunned seeing his father standing before him. Because Thorin and the rest of the dwarves assumed Thrain to be dead. "It's really you--I cannot believe, it's really you!" cried out Thorin, as tears ran down his face. "There is a certain person here you should thank, son!" grinned Thrain, as he pushed me in between himself and Thorin. "Madison? You found him? Is that why you went on your mission with Gandalf?!" exclaimed Thorin. "Yes, Thorin. I was in Dul Guldur with Gandalf, and that's what he wanted me to do, is free Thrain and heal him and that's what I done!" I said.
"Come now, Your Majesty! Your exhausted from your travels! Let's go and have a seat!" said Balin, quickly walking up to Thrain's side. "Please, Balin son of Fundin, just call me Thrain! It's my son, whom is going to be our future king!" said Thrain, turning to Thorin and smiled. So as they sat down at the table, Thorin and his father spoken quite a bit, as well as Thrain telling all of us horrible stories of his captivity in Dul Guldur.
