~Phil's POV~ 

  I watch as Dan rolls up his sleeve, showing deep and almost deathly looking bruises. I just stood their basically in shock at this point as I hear Dan whisper 

 Look we match 

Dan who did this too you 

Do I have to tell you, please don't make me he'll hurt me again 

Dan look at me I lift up dan's head with my index finger to see Dan's eyes puffy and red. 

Who did this to you 

M-my f-f-father His own freaking father did this!? How the hell can someone abuse their own child, yes my mum doesn't care in the slightest about me but she would never lay a finger on me, well that one time but that's a later story. I know Dan isn't a monster, I don't think they would ever go this far, not even to regain trust, like they have time for that anyways. I felt hot tears stream down my own face as I pull Dan into a gentle hug, because lord knows whats hiding underneath those clothes. He hugged back almost immediately, lifting me up telling me to wrap my legs around his waist, which I gladly did.   

Phil...thank you 

Don't thank me, I've done nothing for you so far 

Yes you have, for one you distracted who ever that man was so I wouldn't have gotten beaten, you could have easily walked away, two you you're the one who started this hug not me, and your so delicate with me, so as I was saying before thank you 

 I gave him a quick kiss on the cheek before burying my head in his neck swaying side to side slightly 

~Dan's POV~ 

   We stood there, well I stood there at least, swaying back and forth, it was like we were in a whole new world. I then realized, have I gained Phil trust? I mean he did start this hug, he did wrap his legs around my waist without hesitation, and he literally just kissed my cheek. I'm guessing that's a yes. After about five minutes or so, even though I don't want to, I lifted Phil to his feet breaking our hug but not completely. My gaze fell toward to his crystal blue orbs, that I grew to adore. Yet they werent just blue they were blue, green, and yellow all at once. They werent just the glistening rays of the ocean, but more like a galaxy, a galaxy full of beautiful colors. After what feels like hours of just gazing into each others eyes, time finally catches up to me. 

Phil, free period is about to end 

Don't make me go back 

Come on Phil, i'll be right beside you, i'll take care of the monsters. 

Thank you 

Now come on we don't want to be late to another class 

Alright 

I see tears start to swell his eyes so I wrap my arm his sholders, lean over, and whisper Phil your safe with me, you have nothing to fear (**Im dying of pheels right now, guys, sorry just a little side note**) I feel him sob and nod his head hesitantly before walking out of the bathroom. I look up at the clock to see that we have 20 minutes til third period. 

We have 20 minutes, what shall we do till then? 

Follow me I obeyed as we walk out the back corridor to a small field close to a dark forest. I sit down close to Phil who is now lying on his back staring up, watching the clouds go by. 

I would always come here to cry when I get beaten or when they cast back a horrible retelling, sometimes it's to much but when I'm here I feel safe, like no one is going to hurt me. Seeing Phil now scattered out in the grass, tears streaming down his face, felt like a bullet to the heart. Realizing how much pain he's gone through, how much memories he must have, all the abuse they have put him through. I lay next to Phil and studied the clouds , each passing by slowly then fading away all at once. 

~Time skip~ 

   We were defiantly late to class, I'm pretty sure it was almost over with, but neither did me or Phil budge, we just stared up at the clouds thinking. I was lost in a random memory until I heard a soft whisper next to me. 

Dan we have to leave, even though I would love to lay next to you and stare up at the clouds forever, we can't
