Epiloge

*Five years into future*

I held my husband close, intertwining our fingers, swaying side to side on the patio, watching as Echo and Lee play with their son, Phoenix.

"Daddies daddies, come play with me!"

I turn my head to see Lilly hitting down on the sand that filled her sand box, getting it all over her shirt. Me and Dan stood up, kneeling beside her. I ruffled her ginger coloured hair as Dan was helping her dig in the sand. I got up, walking to our sitting area in our yard where everyone was gathered. Ian and Anthony were talking to Destery and his son, Link, who was 13 years old, and Nathan was over talking to Cry, Felix, and their daughter Ursa, who was 11. Phoenix ran over, grabbing my leg.

"Uncle Phil can I play with Lilly?"

I reached down, picking up the 5 year old child, cradling him in my arms, bopping his nose.

"Well of course Fire!" He giggled at my nickname for him, putting his hand over his mouth, a habit he inherited from me, and hugged my neck. I kissed his forehead, and placed him down. Echo came up to me, slinging his arm around my shoulder.

"He loves you, you know?"

I look over at Echo and now Lee that was next to him, fixing her earrings.

"I hope he does because I love him as well, let's hope it stays that way for a long time"

I walked inside to the kitchen, grabbing some chocolate malteasers and milk, before walking back out, handing the Malteasers to Dan and the milk to Phoenix and Lilly. I plopped myself next to the sand box, fiddling with my ring. I leaned over and kissed Dan's cheek as he happily chewed at his prized sweets. He leaned his head to kiss me fully, earning a few 'ewww's' from our children and godchildren.

"Come one Lilly, Phoenix, your dads and uncles are acting cute again"

With that Lee toke them to the kitchen, probably to get them a snack or something. Me being me, I stole a Malteasers from Dan's hand, plopping it into my mouth and walking over to the sitting area, taking a seat on one of our chairs, Dan close behind me, dangling his arms around my neck.
Cry turned to me with a smile on his face. Cry keep his promise with revealing his face the day of our wedding. He took off his mask during the after party, since then he has never put it back on, well around us anyway. Everyone has long since graduated university. Me and Dan had become jointed directors for a large filming company in downtown Manchester. Echo had become a therapist, Lee had become a hair dresser, Destery had become a song producer, Nathan and Felix had become animators, And Ian, Anthony and Cry had become entertainers.

"Bye everyone, Zelda is going to pick me up" Link shouted at us, grabbing his skateboard and riding off to a different street. Link is seeing a special boy, in which he nicknamed Zelda from the infamous Legend of Zelda games, and had been seeing him for 4 months I think. It was young love at its finest. I placed my head back, leaning into Dan's chest as Ian handed me a beer, taking a swig of his own. I handed it up to Dan, because I still don't really drink. Dan took it, and threw it in a bin near the door, walking inside and coming out with two cokes, handing me one. He knows me to well, even after 5 years of being married, you would think we would get sick of each other, but no, quite the opposite actually. Our love was just growing and growing each day, and having our friends, our child, and our godchildren around just made it grow stronger.
