~Dan's POV~

I woke up alone. I hated that. I looked around because the entire flat was silent. Which was weird considering Phil always has music playing, and now that we have a dog, well that's self explanatory. The dog immediately started barking as my phone started going off. I walked up and realized it was an unknown number.

"Hello?"
"Is this Daniel Howell?"
"Um yes who's this?"
"This is Jana, I work at Manchester Royal Infirmary, now I have it stated that you're Phillip Lester's Significant other, am I correct?"
"Yes I am, I'm his boyfriend"
"Okay good, now Phillip is here, please come as soon as possible, he has requested to see you, we've also been requested to call a boy named Echo Micheals, now it's not pulling up in records so may I ask, what's his real name?"
"Um his real name is Jade Micheals, but don't call him that"
"Alright I've pulled it up but it's stated he's a girl is that correct?"
"Um yeah, he is biologically, is that all?"
"Yes sir thank you, please be here as soon as possible"

I quickly ended the phone call and jumped up, grabbing my coat and running down to my car. What the hell did he do this time. I grabbed my phone and dialed Echo, putting it on speaker and placing it on my dash.

"Yo Howell did you get the call too?"

"Yeah I did, what do you think happened to him?"

"I don't know but this is the second time he has been in the hospital in the last few months"

"I know I was there, but anyway I fell asleep and right when I woke up my phone start going off and Oceanus started barking at the door"

"Oceanus?"

"Oh um yeah we got a dog because of everything that's been happening lately"

"Cool, you can introduce me to them later but right now I'm about to drive down to the hospital, Lee isn't coming though, they specifically told her to stay home"

I paused for a second until I finally caught my words
"Well I'm not sure why, Phil adores her, he legit looks up to her as a mother he never had, but I'm about there so I'll met you there"

"Okay Howell"

"Alright bye Micheals"

"Bye"

I shoved my phone in my pocket and parked into the parking lot, opening the door and then slamming it behind me. I quickly gathered myself as I saw Echo pull into the parking lot, getting out himself and racing over to me. We just nodded at each other and ran in. Echo started pacing around the lobby as I talked to the secretary.

"Phillip Lester"

"Oh yes he's in Room 134b"

"Thank you"

I signaled Echo over and we took the lift to the second floor, trying our best to both not have a full on panic attack. We reached our floor and we legit bolted out running to his room, which may have resulted in us knocking over a few tables, an IV, and a few pill bottles. We reached the door and slowly opened the door, because lord knows he may be having a seizure. I looked In and right away I saw 9 female nurses and Phil, who was awake but he was hooked up to several IVs. He looked like what he did the last time we were here, pale and dead. I walked up and sat on his bed, taking his hand in mine and intertwining our fingers. Echo was talking to one of the female nurses and I waved over another nurse.

"Um would you like to tell me what happened to him and why just specifically me and Echo were called down, not any of our other friends"

I felt Phil squeeze my hand, I felt a increased weight on the bed and another arm that wrapped around my waist and his head resting on my upper back. He was shaking really bad, I just wanted to hold him forever and never let go. I noticed that he wasn't letting any nurses touch him, at all, not even to give him his medication. I felt another weight on the bed so I turned my head and Echo was holding Phil's back, sitting behind him, legs rested at his sides. I looked back at the nurse to see her shocked.

"Daniel may I talk to you in the hall?"

I looked over at Phil and Echo, Phil was crying but he was nodding and Echo was on the verge to tears but he was also nodding his head. I gave Phil's hand one last squeeze before standing up and walking out with the nurse. I turned over one last time and saw Phils head rested on Echo's chest, Echo whispering something and brushing his hair. I'm glad Echo's here because I would hate to leave Phil in this state. The nurse closed the door behind her and stood right in front of me, writing something on her clipboard.

"Hello Daniel, so we have called you and Jade here from request, as stating from Phillips state you can tell he is scared and he wouldn't let anyone touch him but you and Jade"

"Okay for one its Dan, Phil, and Echo and why was it just specifically me and Echo, and what happened to cause him to be this frightened?"

"Okay sorry Dan, but he called you guys in because he told us nurses that he did not want to see anyone else right now and just his boyfriend and closest friend, which would be you too"

"Okay so that answers that question which I understand, but what exactly happened to my Phil to be so distressed"

She let out an annoyed and pitiful sigh before writing something down and for the first time looking me in the eyes with her chilling grey eyes.

"Daniel, Phillip got raped by an unknown citizen, and he was found with a stab wound by a female walking down the streets, which we soon found out to be a girl named Catherine Valdes"

I felt the tears in my eyes and I didn't hesitate them to let them fall. I just stood there not knowing what to say.

"We are deeply sorry Daniel" she just turned on her heels and walked to a different room, I wanted to stab her for the small damn she was giving. After standing there for a minute I grabbed the door handle and ran back in the room. Phil still had his head buried in Echo's chest, shaking because the nurses were trying to grab him. Echo looked up at me, tears streaming down his face. I shooed all the nurses away and sat next to Phil, grabbing him and placing him on my lap. He was crying so hard and it made me cry harder then I already was. I heard him whisper

"I'm sorry"

Over and over again. I started rubbing his stomach through his clothes, like the night we first kissed. I was now whispering stuff like

"It's okay lion don't be sorry"

He started calming down so I looked up at Echo and he just sat there, trying to wipe off all the tears rolling down his face. I don't think I've ever seen him cry so much. He looked up and started smiling because Phil had calmed down a little. He still wasn't letting the nurses touch him, at all, but he wasn't shaking so bad and he stopped whispering to himself. I kissed his cheek which made him smile. Okay we are getting progress. The nurses looked at us like we just came from Planet Pluto. I wiped the hair out of his face as he started slowly falling asleep. Once I realized he was fully asleep, snoring into my shirt, I looked up at the 8 nurses that were still in the room, I must have looked pissed because holy shit was I fuming.

I lowered my voice and started whispering screaming
"What the hell was that, aren't you supposed to be certified nurses, you aren't supposed to try touching a boy who had just been raped, that's not how it works. Me and Echo are just lucky he'll let us touch him, because we've known him longer than you have. Now do me a favor and fuck off"

7 of the nurses left and some blond ass white chick stayed, standing right in front of me.

"Sorry Hun but we need to be able to touch him for tests, and how come he'll let you touch him and not the nurses that are trying to help him"

I leaned over and whispered in Phil's ear "sorry for screaming I love you okay" before I looked over at Echo who took Phil into his arms, rocking him back and forth, humming River flows in you very softly. I stood up and led the nurse outside for a little 'chat.' I closed the door and instantly got into her face.

"Maybe because he just lost his virginty to a man or women he doesn't even know, and had no one there to comfort him aside from the girl who found him, and I know you guys are trying to take care of him but you're certified fucking nurses and you can't lay a hand on someone that has just been raped and stabbed. Maybe consider he might be scared and may feel violated" This nurses face dropped and she looked mad, not like the type of mad I'm feeling but still fucking mad. Before she even had time to react, I heard Phil scream "Dan why did you leave me?" I glared at the nurse again and walked back into the room. I sat on the bed and grabbed Phil's waist, but Echo still had his head rested on his shoulders. Since it was almost 3 am we all fell asleep, tired and scared.
