Kawawa naman. She and his dad were caught in a car accident. When they were found, the kid's father was hugging her.

In the middle of my deep thinking, my phone rang.
Incoming call... Dr. Espinosa...
"Hello Doc?"
"Mika, Mr. Uy is booked to go to the OR at 5pm but we're having technical difficulties due to the thunderstorm so we might have to wait for an hour more. Take the time to prep him up for surgery."
"Noted po!"
"Thanks hija. Also, if you could wheel him to the room in his bed, that would be helpful. Sorry, maraming porters ang di nakapasok dahil sa bagyo kaya-
"I'd be happy to do it, Doc! No worries!"
"Alright, ikaw na bahala ah. Thank you, Mika!"
End of phone convo
After the phone call, I sent Tori a message.

Tori, may work ka ba? Pasuyo naman nitong batang hawak ko. Anak siya nung patient sa ER

Sure beb! Coming from the lec bldg. Be there in a few.

Tori arrived in just a short time.
As I was transferring the kid in her arms, the lights went off. It came back on after a few seconds.
"Must be the storm", my friend remarked.
"Hmm, baka nga. Sige Tori ah, ikaw na bahala sa kanya.", bilin ko.
"Ok! Good luck sa assignment!"
I thanked her then made my way to room 321.
"Hi Angkong!", I greeted upon reaching the old couple.
Parang nagulat sila ng makita ako pero on second thought, baka imagination ko na naman yun.
"Apo, nabisita ka. Na-miss ka namin ah.", si Ama ang sumagot.
"Ama ah, nahawa na po kayo dito kay Angkong. Cheesy.", I laughed.
"Nako, hija!", Angkong shouted all of a sudden. "Sayang. Andito yung apo namin kanina, dinalaw ako. Hindi mo naabutan.", he said further.
