MIKA

Akalain mo yun?

Totoo pala yung myth.

Na kung sino ang makakapag-uwi ng photo na 'to, siya yung mapapangasawa ni King Archer.

I chuckled lightly as I stared at the picture of the white dress hanging on the wall of my new room.

Today is Jeron and I's first day in our new home. Our parents gave us a two-storey fully-furnished house in Valle Verde, an exclusive subdivision in Pasig.

In my opinion, masyado nga 'tong malaki para sa aming dalawa. Aalog-alog tuloy kami dito.

Alam na ng mga tatay namin ang tungkol sa kasal, and contrary to our mothers' reactions, they took it quite calmly.

Thankfully, he's been discharged from the hospital and is now staying in Bulacan. Medyo lie-low din si Mama ngayon sa trabaho kasi siya yung nag-aalaga kay Papa.

Jeron kept his word, kaya naman the day after we got married, nag-report to work na siya sa Capstone, our real estate business.

Weekend ngayon kaya ngayon namin napag-usapang maglipat officially.

"Mika?"

Lumingon ako at nakita ko si Jeron na nakasilip sa pinto.

"Yes?"

"Pa-deliver na lang ba tayo ng food?", he asked.

"Sige. Ikaw na bahala.", I responded.

Nag-order si Jeron ng pizza and chicken for lunch which we're currently enjoying in our quaint dining room.

"So... Have you finished unpacking your things? Para mailagay ko na rin yung akin.", he said all of a sudden.

Nagtataka akong napalingon sa kanya.

"What do you mean? Don't tell me share tayo ng closet?!", tanong ko.

He looked at me for a second and wiped his mouth with a napkin.

"Mika.

Just in case you've forgotten, we are married.

That's why we are in this house. And that's why we're supposed to share everything.

That includes the closet."

I finished my pizza slice and drank from my glass of juice.

"Jeron.

Baka rin nakakalimutan mo.

Kasal lang tayo sa papel.

Kaya we're not obliged to do what married couples do."

Jeron only shrugged.

"If that's the case, anong gusto mong gawin natin?"

"Since magkasama na tayo ngayon sa isang bahay, dapat meron tayong house rules."

"Rules?", he smirked as he said the word.

Kainis 'to ah, seryoso kaya ako.
