The guests gathered inside the gazebo as they waited for the newly weds.
When they were told that Jeron and Mika were about to arrive, all of them got up from their seats to form a line while holding up their firework sticks.
A minute later, the awaited car finally came to a stop.
Jeron was the first to alight and he offered his arm to help his wife come out.
Cheers echoed around the venue as the sparklers held by waving hands lit up the night.
With hands intertwined, Jeron and Mika danced and sang along with their families and friends as "Ikaw ang Aking Mahal" played in the background.
"Let's all welcome, Mr. and Mrs. Teng!!!", Carol shouted. She volunteered to be the host for the special night and Mika couldn't be any happier.
"Sinong excited sa dinner???!!!", Carol asked over the microphone.
The audience howled in agreement.
"Ako rin, guys. And I'm sure pati si Ye."
Mika glared at her as laughter filled the place.
"Sorry ka baks, ako kinuha mong host. Anyway, may trivia ako tungkol sa ating newly weds! Alam niyo ba na when they got married last year, gumawa sila ng house rules?"
"Hoy, donkey!!!", Mika shouted. But her voice fell on deaf ears. Now it got her thinking why she shared that secret to her friends.
"Rule number 1...", Carol proceeded.
"Isa, Carol!!! Lagot ka sakin!"
"Dinner's at 7:30. Ayun po ang rule number 1, mga bes. Hindi kasi pwedeng magutom ang reyna kaya may specific time sila ng pagkain. At dahil dyan, dinner will be served 7:30pm sharp. Tiis-tiis lang ng konti!"
Jeron laughed with the audience as Mika sighed in relief.
"Gaga ka talaga.", she mouthed at her friend.
"I know.", Carol winked.
"Promise ko naman sa inyo na makakalimutan niyo ang gutom dahil extra special ang mga ganap ngayong gabi. Tonight will be filled with laughter, tears and wonderful memories to last. Now, excited na ba kayo to witness the first dance of our newly weds?!"
"YEEESSSSS!!!!!"
"Give it up for... Mr. and Mrs. Jeron Teng!!!"
Jeron took Mika's hand and led her to the center.
"Naalala mo pa ba?", he whispered to her.
"Naman.", she confidently answered.
The two of them performed a short tango presentation which they practiced for weeks.
