31 - What Lies Behind

Jeron has been nothing but supportive to me during the last days of the sem.

He understands that this is my dream and he is willing to wait until I'm ready to take another step when it comes to what we have.

When I asked him kung bakit parang siya, maluwag yung sched, he told me na temporary lang ang role niya sa business nila since his father encouraged him to pursue photography if that's what he really wanted.

And true enough, he's very passionate about taking pictures. Pictures of me, if I may add.

Pakiramdam ko nga ang papangit ng mga kuha ko kasi bigla-bigla na lang siyang nag-shooshoot. And he hasn't let me see any one of them. Next time na lang daw. Bahala siya.

Today marks the first day of summer vacation kaya naman sobrang excited talaga akong umuwi.

I also decided na ngayon ko na rin ipapakilala si Jeron sa mga magulang ko. Sayang, bumalik agad si Kuya Lance sa US. I bet the two of them can be really good friends if given the chance.

I was bringing down my last luggage when my front door opened.

"Hey! Why didn't you call me?", Jeron said as he ran up the stairs to lend me a hand.

"Ok lang, last naman na yan eh.", I answered, letting him carry the bag.

"Siguro sobrang excited mo nang umuwi. Ready to see them again?", he asked.

"Of course! Miss na miss ko na parents ko saka si Nate. Teka, baka dapat sayo ko yan tinatanong. Ready ka na bang makilala sila?", I raised my eyebrow at him.

Jeron took a deep breath.

"Actually, kinakabahan ako. Siyempre ibang usapan na 'tong ngayon. But I feel excited, too. Because after this, mas confident na ako sa panliligaw sa'yo."

"Ay nako. Confident mo mukha mo! Tara na nga. Para makarating tayo doon by lunchtime."

We carried our luggages to the car and made sure na wala kaming naiwang naka-on or naka-plug sa units namin.

Dahil aalis din naman daw ako, Jeron decided na sa bahay muna nila din siya uuwi until the end of my vacation.

I'm really excited!

This day marks not only the start of her summer vacation, but also the first part of my Project "Proposal" for Mika.

We arrived at their beautiful home in Bulacan before 12 noon, and were warmly welcomed by her family.

"Ate Ye! Kuya Jeron!", Nathan came running to us and we both gave him a hug.

I handed him our pasalubong which was a dinosaur-shaped cake na pina-customize namin sa kaibigan ni Mika.

"Wowww!!! It's so cool! Thank you, Kuya and Ate! I can't wait to eat this!"

"O Nate, mamaya na yan ah. Lunch muna tayo. Tamang-tama ang dating niyo, mga anak. Nakahain na sa mesa.", aya ni Tita Bhaby sa amin pagkatapos naming mag-bless at mag-beso sa kanya.

We proceeded to the dining room and I felt quite nervous when I saw Tito Manuel. Alam kong bestfriend siya ni Dad, and I don't want him to get a bad impression of me especially because he is the father of my beloved.
