Labor

OWEN'S POV

Fxck my life. I had to get out of here, alive. The hybrids were circling me and I was being shouted at through the intercom. I had to get out of here, for Claire. I submerged and tried to swim to the edge but the hybrids submerged with me. Think. Owen, think you can get out of this. Just Lowery ran in with InGen soldiers. I guess the shockers didn't work, just typical. The soldiers shot at the hybrids barely missing me. I frantically swam to the edge and climbed out. "Owen, let's go" Lowery said dragging me out the tank. "Calm down, what's happening?" I asked shocked. "Claire's going into Labor" Lowery rambled out. I froze. Claire's going into labor. I'm going to be a father. SMACK. "What the hell was that for?!¿" I growled at Lowery. "You zoned out, and we need to get Claire" Lowery replied a little afraid. "Right, okay, let's go" I said emotional less. Should I get changed or not, I was dripping and was still in my wet suit. Claire was about to give birth. I ran into the changing and frantically got dressed. What the hell was I doing, I should be sprinting to Claire. "Owen, come on!" Lowery cried.

I sprinted out the changing room and ran all the way to the control centre without stopping. "Claire" I said running up to her. I didn't know what to do, Claire was sweating and screwing her face up in pain. "Someone called an ambulance, Claire needs to get to a hospital" I called out to anyone. I helped Claire up to her feet so we could make our way to the exit. "Owen" Claire mumbled, she looked so pale. Then she collapsed on to me. I held her head up. "Someone call an ambulance now!" I shouted. I was so worried, I didn't know much about giving birth but I was pretty sure that you needed to be awake; unless you were having a C-section. "Claire, baby, wake up" I whispered. I was shaking, I didn't know what to do. "She's gonna be alright" Vivian reassured me. "I know" I gave her a weak smile.

The ambulance arrived 10 minutes later. I held Claire's hand through the whole journey. Just as we began to turned into the Hospital Claire began to stir. "Owen" she mumbled. "Claire, thank goodness" I smiled. Claire was rushed into a private room. "A midwife will be with you shortly" one of medics from ambulance said before leaving. "Claire, you scared me" I said holding her hand. "You scared me too, why did you agree to train the hybrids" Claire spoke softly. "I'm sorry, Masrani blackmailed me into it" I said bitterly. Claire winced again in pain and dug her nails into my hand. "Owen, could you call Karen for me please" Claire said. "Of course" I replied kissing her hand.

I pulled my phone out and dialled Karen. "Hey Karen" I spoke into the phone. "Oh my Gosh! Claire's gone into Labor! I knew it!" Karen screamed so high pitched I had to pull my phone away from me ear. "Yeah, you guessed it" I replied. "I'll be there ASAP" she said before hanging up. "Well, Karen's on her way" I said sliding my phone back in my pocket. "Owen I'm scared" Claire whispered. "I know, baby, but you'll be fine" I whispered back.

Just then a women in blue uniform came in. "Hi, I'm Amy. I'll be your midwife" a brown haired women said. "Hi, I'm Owen and this is Claire" I smiled. "So is this your first time?" Amy asked. "Yeah it is" Claire gave her a nervous smile. "I'm going to check if you're dilated enough to go through to the delivery room" she said politely. "You're 8cm already, we're to take you to the delivery room" Amy said taking her gloves off. Claire was rush to the delivery room and was given gas and air to help with the pain. "Okay, Claire, I'm going to ask you to start pushing now" Amy said sternly. "Argh" Claire screamed piercing my skin with her nails. "Breathe" I said calmly. "What do you think I'm doing" Claire snapped at me. I gave her a look that said sorry, I didn't want risk talking again. "Keep pushing" Amy said. Claire screamed again, I felt so bad, I hated seeing her in pain. "This is all your fault Owen, you got me pregnant" Claire spat at me. I was so shocked I couldn't find any words to say which was probably a good thing. "I wouldn't take it personally, all women snap at their partners during birth" Amy spoke with sympathy for me. Claire was sweating and breathing heavily. "One last push" Amy said to Claire. Claire screamed and clawed my hand one last time. Claire's scream was then replaced by the cry of our baby.

I cut the cord, and started to get emotional. I was officially a Dad. "I'll clean her up for you guys" Amy smiled. "You did it" I whispered to Claire and planted a firm kiss on her lips. "No, we did it" Claire smiled at me. Amy then brought our screaming daughter back. She was so small and cute. "She got your eyes" I said gently to Claire. I was glad that she had Claire's diamond eyes. "Have you got a name?" Amy asked. "Blue" the word came out my mouth without me thinking. "We are not naming her Blue" Claire said raising an eyebrow. "Well, I'll leave you to decide and I'll send in your family. Claire handed our daughter to me as Amy left. "Hey Beautiful, are you gonna stop crying for Daddy?" I said trying to hush her.

"She looks like you" Claire grinned. I smiled at Claire. I couldn't believe that I was holding our child. How could something this big come out of Claire but yet be so small to cradle. "She likes you, you got her to stop crying" Claire spoke quietly. I looked down at our daughter who was staring up at me with her big blue eyes. "She's all ours" I said star struck. "I know" Claire whispered.

A/N: Hey guys Claire and Owen are officially parents!!! Yay!!! :) :) I'm starting year 10 tomorrow :( that means I have 1 year and 9 months left the hell that is High school.
