You can guess the first POV 🙃
(Before the incident)

I woke up early as usual. I turned on the shower to get the water warm. Just as I was about to get in, I received a text message from my boss. Don't forget we have a meeting at 9:45 - Simon. Sh!t. I had totally forgotten. 8:37am, just over an hour to get ready. That should be enough. I stopped pondering and immediately jumped in the shower, not caring if it was still slightly cold. I washed in super quick time. 7 minutes to be precise, new record. I got dressed, trying to find something smart; I had to make sure that I looked presentable. I started tidying my apartment, I was such a clean freak. I checked the clock in the kitchen, 9:30. Wow, I was going to be late and I was never late. I quickly grabbed my coffee and sprinted out the door.

I reached the control room with little time to spare. "Hurry, you're only a few minutes late" Vivian was waiting for me just outside Masrani's office. "I'm never late" I mumbled as I checked my watch. 9:43. I handed Vivian my near empty coffee cup and brushed myself down before entering. "Just in time" Mr Masrani spoke confidently as I walked in. I knew it, being late wasn't an option. I tried to hide the smile flickering across my face; I had to stay formal, this was work. "Please, take a seat" He offered me the chair in front of his desk. I sat down, slightly curious about what he wanted to talk to me about. "You and I are both aware that Jurassic World is a huge success but lately I haven't been given various progress reports" Simon spoke sternly. "That's very unusual, sir and I look into it personally to see that it gets done" I said calmly. "Please, Owen called me Simon" Mr Masrani seemed to lighten up. "It's Mr Grady" I muttered but I don't think he heard.

"Owen, I would like you to visit the velociraptor enclosure today as I'm missing several progress reports" He stood up and walked over to the window. "Sure, I can do that" I replied. "I would like you to talk to the trainer, an ex navy women" I kissed my teeth as he continued to give me details. I remembered interviewing her. "I would like you to consult about the T-Rex paddock, there has been some sort of debate about whether it's safe enough" He turned to face me again. "But why her? We have the best structural engineers in the world" I questioned. "Ya, so did Hammond" Masrani muttered quietly but it was loud enough for me to hear. "She may be able to see something we can't" Simon spoke up. "Yeah but she already thinks she smarter" I retorted quietly. "Huh?" Mr Masrani raised an eyebrow at me. "I've just got a tickle in throat" I managed to style it out. "Well, I won't keep you any longer. Bye Owen" Simon showed me to the door. The use of my first name made we feel awkward at work. "Thank you for the feedback, sir" I smiled before heading to main control room.

"Lowery, what's the live count?" I asked standing in between his and Vivian's desks. "22,173" Lowery answered almost instantly. I had practically trained him to answered that question as soon as I walk in. "How was your meeting?" Vivian asked politely. "I think it went well, but I have visit Ms Dearing at the velociraptor enclosure" I answered. "I'll bet you'll enjoy that" Lowery mocked to himself. Unfortunately for him I heard it. "Would you like to repeat that, Mr Cruthers" I shot at him. Lowery face dropped the smug expression and turned slightly pale. "Do you need me to do anything whilst you are at the paddock?" Vivian spoke timidly in an attempt to protect Lowery. "No, not that I can think of" I turned to Vivian giving Lowery the benefit of the doubt.

I pulled up outside the paddock and absorbed my surroundings. I had only been here once before; when the raptors were first placed in the new habitat. I checked my hair in the rear view mirror before leaving the comfort of my Volvo XC60. I cringed as my newly polished shoes squelched in the mud. I drew in a sharp breath preparing myself for the one person who was just about more irritating than Lowery. I reached the top of the viewing platform just as Ms Dearing was finishing up. "And what do I owe the pleasure of Owen?" Claire smiled at me. "We need to talk" I said bluntly, I wasn't in the mood for her cockiness today. Not that I was any other day either. "What about?" Her bright blue eyes were staring me out. "Maybe we should consult somewhere more, err, private" I suggested as I could tell people were eavesdropping. I know it wasn't a personal matter but I like to keep my affairs within a close proximity. "Do you wanna consult here, or in my bungalow?" Claire said whilst jiggling her eyebrows at me. "That's not funny" I rolled my eyes before following her back down the stairs. "Oh c'mon! Admit it, it is a little funny" she seemed rather amused.

Claire showed me into her office; if I could call it that, it was literally no bigger that Lowery's work space. "So, what's the issue?" She asked grabbing a can of Coke out the mini fridge. "Mr Masrani wants to know why we haven't been receiving any reports cards recently" I made sure to keep my business tone and lightly dusted the chair with my hand before sitting down. Claire took a sip of her drink. I felt so uncomfortable. For one the room was extremely small and cramped. Secondly it was so untidy you would think that one of the raptors were let lose in here. Thirdly I was in a room with Claire Dearing.

At her interview we didn't exactly get off on the right foot. We were complete opposites. Claire's interview mainly consisted of us bickering and Claire being obnoxiously annoying. However Lowery seems to call it flirting; no wonder he hasn't got a girlfriend. The interview, to put it simply was... rather interesting. I tried to be discreet with detouring Mr Masrani from selecting Claire for the job. Unluckily for me, Mr Masrani had his heart set on Claire as she was the most qualified. "Well, you know, Owen, I've been busy" Claire spoke coolly tucking a piece of her red hair behind her ear. It was a gorgeous shade of orange, hinted with red, it came just past her shoulders and was moderately wavy. "It's Mr Grady, and well, I don't know if I'm honest. What's been keeping you busy?" I replied agitated by her arrogance. "Stuff" Claire replied blankly before taking another sip of her cola. "Stuff" I snorted. She had no idea of the meaning 'busy' and what in the world does 'stuff' stand for. I started chewing the inside of my cheek. "Is that all?" Claire mocked lightly. "Actually no, Mr Masrani also wishes for you to visit the T-Rex enclosure with me for a reassessment" I explained ignoring the mockery. "I take it we have to go now" Claire showed no interest in what I was saying. This was a serious matter and she was really starting to get on my nerves.

We both got up and reached for the door at the same time. Our hands touched and I pulled away sharply. I felt this weird spark when our skin connected. It was like a static shock but different. I could tell Claire felt it too as we had both blushed to the same shade as her hair. "Well, what are you waiting for? Let's go" Claire commanded pushing me aside, trying to cover up the awkwardness. "You're not in control here" I said bitterly as Claire marched straight up to the drivers side. "Control, control, control. It's all about control with you, isn't it?" She mused at me. I drew in a sharp breath. Ignore her. The more you concentrate on work, the quicker it will be done and the sooner this is over. Claire trudged round to the passenger side and I calmly started the car. "So, have you got a girlfriend?" Claire asked randomly. "No" I stated. "Been on any dates recently?" She continued to question me. "No, I haven't and this isn't an appropriate conversation to be having" I replied bluntly staring straight ahead at the road. She was deliberately trying to make me feel uncomfortable. I was annoyed. Claire was succeeding and she knew it.

"The paddock seems pretty save to me. All I suggest is reinforcing the artificial log viewing tunnel" Claire was concluding our observations. "Thank you, Ms Dearing. I will hopefully be in touch shortly for the raptor reports" I smiled. Claire wasn't half bad after you get use to her for a bit; she is actually quite funny and captivating if you like. "Look, Owen. You shouldn't have to make excuses to see me. If you want to go on a date with me, just ask" Claire lectured me as if I was 10 years old. I opened my mouth to speak but I couldn't find any words. She was full of surprises. "Okay? So how about you pick Saturday evening about 6. Is that good? Great, I'll see you then" Claire gave me her trade mark smirk and with that she left. She had left me completely bewildered. Did that just happen¿!? It all happened so fast, my brain barely had time to process it. I shook my head lightly. Did I really just land a date with Claire Dearing this Saturday?!¿

A/N: Happy Halloween guys. I hoped you liked how I swapped their characters over🙃 I also made it extra long. And hopefully you all guessed it was Owen's POV, I tried to leave you guessing for longer but it was too difficult. I also wanna thank you guys for 4K+ reads. OMG 😆😆
