Chapter 15

A/N: Skipping the duel with Aster and Jesse! Sorry guys! I just don't want to add another thing that would kind of fry my brain...although the next chapter is a filler just to let you know. 😁 Besides, I won't be able to update as often...maybe except Wednesday but I'm not really sure right now. I'll let you guys know soon. :)

You were looking forward to today. Today is the day of the tag duelling tournament and you couldn't wait to see who was competing. You were positive that Jaden was more excited than you. "He's practically jumping off the walls." "This is Jaden we're talking about, Valkyria. If it's related to duelling, he's bound to be extremely excited." "I just hope that nothing bad happens at the tournament. The last thing we need is another fight with someone." "I know, but the only fighting we'll see is, students arguing with each other." "That's true, I guess." "We just need to show these duellists what we're made of." "You sound determined about winning." "I am and we will win, even if it's second place." Jaden said, "Come on, Y/N! Let's go already! We can't be late!" "Oh now he wants to be on time for once!" "Just let him off this one time, besides, I doubt that they always have stuff life this every year." "Maybe." "Y/N!" You sigh, "I'm coming!"

You were amazed at the amount of people in the duelling areas. Jaden grabs your hand and says, "Let's go sign up!" You were dragged to where everyone was signing up their teams. You see all your friends there as well. Wow, I guess everyone wants to win this. You and Jaden sign yourselves up, eager to see who you're up against. Jaden said, "You look so amazed. Haven't you ever seen stuff like this before?" You answer, "This is my first time at something like this." Jaden reassures you, "It's going to be fun! I'm so pumped right now just talking about it!" "He should be like this when it comes to his homework." You giggle to yourself at your partner's remark. You both wait to see the matchups." You all see Chancellor Sheppard step up to the podium and speak, "Welcome everyone to the Tag Duel Cup! I'm sure you're all eager to see who you're facing. Now, the winners of this tournament not only receives the titles of Champions of Tag Duelling, one of them will represent Duel Academy in its annual match with North Academy later on. Have fun and happy duelling!" That's a huge thing.

You nearly choke when you both see who you're up against. The teams were listed as followed:

Team Hassleberry vs. Team Chazz
Team Aster vs. Team Blair
Team Zane vs. Team Jaden

You were freaking out. We're going up against Zane and Atticus?!? This is nuts! Jaden exclaims, "Sweet! We're up against Zane and Atticus!" "Don't be nervous, Y/N." "How can I not?!? Atticus and Zane are two of the best duellists on campus!" "Just stay calm alright? Freaking out isn't helping your case." You admit, "I'm nervous. I can't believe that we're facing those two in our first match. I hope I don't mess up." Jaden took your hands and said, "You won't mess up, if anything happens, I'll have your back, okay? Don't worry, Y/N." You smile in relief, "Thanks, Jaden. That's kind of you to say." Jaden said, "Come on, let's watch Alexis and Hassleberry's duel." You nod and both sit in the crowd. I hope they're going to be okay.

You see Chazz and Bastion's expressions, they didn't look happy. They were the first to be eliminated and Chazz looked very annoyed. Chancellor Sheppard announces, "The winners of the second match will face Team Hassleberry and be the team to face either Team Zane or Team Jaden in the final round. Congratulations again to Team Hassleberry for an amazing duel." "I wonder who's going to win this next match." "I'm curious about it myself. Aster and Jesse are very skilled duellists, same goes for Syrus and Blair. I'm not going to make any predictions but I have a feeling that this is going to be an interesting duel to watch." "I hope they're ready to duel because one of them will have to face either you and Jaden or the two Obelisk boys." "I'm more nervous about our duel since we're duelling Zane and Atticus. Zane's deck is very strong, same goes for Atticus' as well." "Yes you're right. Now let's watch the duel." You see that both Aster and Jesse both look confident about the duel. Both Blair and Syrus were looking calm as they all began their duel.
