Chapter 38:Being Mr Portgas's partner part 2

(A/N:I have a feeling that this book will have more chapters than my last book......ugh hopefully I'll finish this book before I go back to Japan. Also, is this a good book to read? Most of the time I write a chapter that doesn't even make sense to me, but I still publish it anyway.)

Itami pov
"Are you thirsty?"
"Yeah, I am a little bit parched."I say
"Okay, wait right here I'll grab us a drink."

Ace scuttled over to the refreshments, dodging any love struck dancing teens along the way. I sat down on a near by chair & got out my phone & started to text the squad in a group chat.

Me:So far so good! Ace is sooo cute when he's bein romantic!

Roby-Roo(Robin):I'm happy for the pair of you

Orange money💸💰(Nami):😤😤Man i wish i was there wif all of u

Red(Kira):Awwwww!!!U guts r soooo kawaii together!😊😊Must send pics!

My blue princess(Vivi):Oh Itami I'm so happy 4 u!X) U gotta tell us all bout it afterwards

Me:😆Oh yes i will, gtg the Prince himself awaits

Ace came back with our drinks in hand.
"Here ya go, Cherry Cola!"Ace says
I look down at the cup thirstily, I absolutely love Cherry Cola.
"Mmmm Cherry Cola..."
"They also have Fanta Grape, Fanta Blueberry, Mitsuida cider, Coke, Fanta Melon & Tropical punch."Ace says
"Holy...isn't it a coincidence that those are all my favorite drinks?"I asked
Ace smirked."A coincidence indeed..."
"You're up to something aren't you?"I asked suspciously
Ace laughed sheepishly."I have no idea what you're talking about."
I rolled my eyes."One way or another, I will find out what you're up to."
Ace chuckled."You will...soon."

For most of the night, we danced on the dance floor, ate & drank a lot of drinks. But I just keep on having that sinking feeling that something big is about to happen. Like something huge! Because the students were acting more nicer than usual, and whenever I wasn't paying attention, I could hear them talking about me or giving me looks (Like as if they planned something behind my back). And I have a feeling that Ace has got something to do with the whole thing.

'I dunno, maybe I'm just on edge from the sugar or something. I gotta stop being so paranoid.'

"Can I have your attention please?"

We all turned to the front & saw one of the year 12 girls at the front of the stage, wearing a Royal blue dress.

"The students keep on requesting to have a singing competition, so the teachers decided to put it into a vote. So hands up who doesn't want to do the singing competition?"

A lot of the people in the crowd raised their hands up.

"Alright! So can those people who want to sing come up the front & put your name down. And can we have those who don't want to sing to find a spot so that you can watch, and the food will be served to you."

Ace looked over at me."You gonna sing?"
"Heck yeah, wanna show these kids that some old people can still sing."I joke
Ace smiled."Okay, I'll be up the front. I just need to use the bathroom."
"Okay."

So I went up to the front of the gym & put my name down for the comp. I specifically asked to go last so that I can see what I'm up against.

Ace pov
"So did she sign her name?"I asked
"Yeah."Marco says through the phone."She asked to go last-yoi."
I nodded."That's good, it's all going according to plan."I say

Now the waiting begins.....

Itami pov
"Alright guys! Some of you might remember her as a year 13, but others probably won't remember her. But anyway she's a great gal. And yes, this is Mr Portgas's girlfriend. Give it up for Itami!"
