Chapter 46:Our child

(A/N:That title doe XD anyway the holidays are fast approaching! Yay I can go back to Japan in 4 days! Yassssssss haha enjoy!)

Itami pov
As I unlocked my car & sat down in my drivers seat, I was still trying to convince myself that I, Portgas D Lucifer Roza Itami, is now pregnant with my husbands child.

It's a lot to take in ya know.

My eyes dropped down towards my stomach, where the baby is. A smile formed on my face, and I gently put my hand on my stomach.

"Well what do you know....You're living the life inside of me."I chuckled."Listen kid, I can't wait to make you my child. Whatever happens, happens okay?"I say

Starting up the car, I quickly drove to the pharmacy & picked up some of those pills that held nourish & protect the baby, and then went home.
As I drove, I was trying to think how the hell I was going to tell Ace. After all, he's about to be a Father. I wasn't getting any ideas so far...maybe I'm just gonna have to tell him straight up?

'Ugh I dunno...why does this sorta thing have to be so hard to say?'

I got home & parked the car on our drive way.

"I'm home!"I call as I opened the door.
"Hey."Ace calls
I walk into our lounge & Found Ace with papers surrounding him, Ace was scribbling stuff down on a piece of paper.
"What are you doing?"I asked
"Marking tests. Damn it all why did these tests have to be on the same day?!"Ace cursed
I giggled."Do you want me to help you?"
"I'll be fine honey."Ace says
"I don't mind, I have nothing else to do anyway."I say
Ace sighes."Alright, sit yourself down."

I sat down next to him & grabbed a red pen from his pencil case. The tests that we were marking was for English. A few months ago Ace signed himself up to be both a PE teacher & a English teacher. He's finding it pretty easy, though he can be a little bit stressed at times.

"Hey,"I say."Didn't we do this test in year 13?"
"Yeah coincidence right? It's funny seeing what the answer were. I wished I had put these answers down."Ace says
I sighed."I feel ya."

As we went on with marking & grading, the nerves were becoming stronger. I kept on trying to figure out a way to tell him, but...I feel as if it's not the right tome at the moment.

"Itami? Are you okay?"
I sighed."N-no it's nothing..."
Ace gave me a look before getting back to marking.

'I can't keep it from him forever. He'll eventually find out either way.'

After finishing everything, we packed up & sat down in front of the couch, discussing about each others day today.

"Are you feeling a bit better?"Ace asked
"Yeah...about that.."
"Oh god what's wrong!"Ace asked
I sighed."There's something I need to tell you Ace."I say
He sat up, making me sit up & face him."Is there something wrong?"Ace asked
"No there's nothing wrong. I went to the hospital to see if I was alright-"
Ace sucked in a breath
"And I'm fine. Though there is one tiny exception."I say
Ace clamped a hand around mine."Itami...do you have cancer?"He asked
"What? N-no! No! It's not that!"I say
"Phew..."Ace breathes
"But it is something huge."I say."Ace..."I inhaled

'Here goes nothing.'

"I-I'm pregnant with our baby."

Ace's eyes widened."R-really?!"
I smiled at him."Really, Ace. I...am."
Ace broke out into tears of joy & hugged me tightly."Oh my god...Itami! This is great!"He cries
I laughed & started to cry tears of joy as well.
"I....I'm a Daddy!"Ace cries happily
Ace looked up & smiled widely at me."Itami...I love you so much. I can't wait to be a parent with you."He says happily
"I can't wait either..I love you too."I say
