Chapter 6:Secretly jealous

(A/B:I had another version of this chapter but it didn't make sense last time,hopefully this one will be better!)

*Period 4:English*
Itami pov
My phone vibrated,signifying I had a text.I typed in my password & found a surprising message.

The Motherload!(Mother):Hey bub,I 4got 2 tell u this morning that Im ur new English teacher!Ur last English teacher has just retired & yeah!Im running late tho

Me:Woat?!😱Haha ok Period 4 just started so b here soon plez.Luv u,c u soon💖

I sigh,trying to get over the fact that my Mother is my English teacher.I mean,if you think about it,having someone in your family teach your class is quite surprising,but I guess I gotta get used to it.

(A/N:Just saying,I don't find it weird.My Mum's a teacher & she taught in my class before)

"I heard that we're getting a new English teacher!"
"Yeah,I wonder who it is...."

I smirk,knowing that I knew something others didn't.It's quite satisfying.

Our class walked up the stairs of A block.By the time I was at the top,I was out of breath

'Stupid stairs...'

We all walked into class & sat down in our assigned seats.I sat in the middle left row,making it a good thing that I can still listen to music while learning.

And yes,it's really bad but I can't help myself.

We all waited for Mother(or should I say,Mrs Roza?) to arrive.Seconds past & everyone was starting to become restless.

"Oh my god!Where is that teacher?!"Someone moans

"Just be patient."I say calmly

And then the door opens.

And in came Mother,wearing a white shirt that had a picture of different coloured Macaroons stacked on top of each other,a pair of black comfy jeans (that are mine),and a pair of black & gold sandals.

She all smiled at us.

"Hello everyone!I'm your new teacher,Mrs Roza from now on."

Sabo raised his hand."Are you Itami's Mother?"

"Why of course!But in the classroom I'm just a teacher."

I smile & look out the window,my smile now a small smirk.

"Anyway,enough about me!I want to know about all of you!With your pad paper,I would like all of you to write about yourself.It can be written in anyway you like,so long it doesn't have inappropriate content.If you don't finish it,then I would like it if you finish it for homework."

Everyone did as they were told & started to do the task that has been set.

'What should I write down?I mean,Mother knows me entirely!Maybe I should just do it,could be for our grades.'

And so,I writ everything down.My likes,dislikes,favourite stuff,my family,music I listen to & things that I had experience.

In no time flat,I was done!

'That was easy!Then again,I am a faster writer than others...'

I stood up from my seat & walked over to Mother/Mrs Roza.

"I'm done Mrs Roza."

She smiled at me."Thanks Itami,now do you have a book to read till the period ends?"

"Yup."

I sat back down & got out the 4th book of the Bloodlines series:Fiery Heart.I was up to the part where Sydney & Adrein were in the car doing the 'do'.

'This is so awkward that I'm reading this part in class..'

And before I knew it,the bell was ringing

*RING!*
"Alright.Time to pack up!"

I packed up like everyone else,and we were let out to lunch.

'Oh yeah...Mr Trafalgar had some info about Ace....na I won't go.As tempting it sounds I won't go.It's Ace's private space & I gotta respect that even though he did what he did.'

"ITAAAAAMMMIIIIII!!!"

I turn around & found my whole class running at me.Next thing I knew,I was being bombarded with questions

"WHEN DID YOUR MUM TURN INTO A TEACHER?!"
"WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL US?!"

And I heard:"IS SHE SINGLE?!"

"What the hell?!That's none of your business!Now faq off!"Kira yells

The squad dragged me down the stairs & took me to the cafeteria (grabbing food on the way).We sat down

"When did Aunty Armalia start working?"Kira asked

"I-I dunno.She just texted me at the start & told me she was our new English teacher..."

"Oh okay....so any other news?"Nami asked
"Umm.....you guys know Marceline right?"I asked
"Crazy yandere bitch Marcy or blonde smart Marcy?"
"Crazy yandere."
Robin gave me a look."Who wouldn't know her?Anyway,continue."
"W-well it turns out that she's got another bf,and guess who it is?"

They put on thoughtful faces,figuring out who would go for a girl like Marcy.

Vivi sighed in defeat."I got nothing."
"Same here."
I sigh."Ace."

Their eyes widen in shock."Wait wait as in the Ace?!"Nami asks
I nod."The Ace."

Kira put her hand on my shoulder."Are you feeling alright?Do you need anything?"
I frown."I'm perfectly fine.Just annoyed at him that's all."
Vivi tilted her head in a questioning way."Why are you annoyed?"

I groan."I think it was the way he told me."
"He told you?"Nami asked

"Yeah,I don't get why though.I fell over,he helped me up.I was about to leave but he stopped me.He told me that he has a girlfriend & he told me that he was over me.."

"How did you feel about it?"Robin asked

"It felt...weird.I was angry & I was crying.I don't get it.I'm over him!Or well...I should be over him.."I looked at Robin."What's going on?"

The squad sighs.

"Itami,you don't realize it don't you?"Kira asked

I shook my head

"Hun,you still have feelings towards Ace.What you described,that is called jealousy."

I shot out of my seat & slammed my hands down on the cafeteria table,making everyone in the room stop what they were doing & swivel their chairs to look at me.

I balled my hands into fists.
"I need sone air."I grumble.

I storm out of the cafeteria,whispers growing like a baby in a womb

I watched as Itami stormed out of the cafeteria.I sipped on my coke & put the bottle down,sighing.

"So she is jealous huh?"I asked

I stood up from my table,my imaginary friend Gasai Yuno asking me where I am going.

"Where are you going?"Yuno-chan asks,her pink eyes filled with curiosity

"Oh.....just...doing some more information gathering.Important you know?"

Yuno smiles."Yeah!I see where you're coming from.I needed that to protect Yukki from everyone."

I nod."Be right back."

I walk outside & try to find Itami
